Re: Wedding-Day Manicure? What are you doing?

Just a soft pale pink/nude manicure. Not sure about my toes - I have closed toe shoes so I might pick a bright color for our honeymoon!

Re: Wedding-Day Manicure? What are you doing?

I had a french mani and pedi.

HOWEVER, I wasn't able to get it done on my last day of work before the wedding and then the day before the wedding I had some unexpected running around to do (ummm, DH and I lost the marriage license we had gotten 60 days before our wedding date and realized it two nights before the wedding! ) so I didn't have time to do my mani pedi the day before the wedding either.

And THEN I forgot that I had to go to confession so I could receive communion at my own wedding mass, so I had to do that before my hair and makeup on my wedding day. So long story short, I had to do my own pedi (it looked good) and my MOH did my french mani while Mia did my makeup (nails looked great).

So moral of the story - MAKE SURE you make time to do your manis and pedis before your wedding day so you're not stressed like I was

do you keep nail polish on your nails at all times, that helps keep them hard so they dont chip. Also make sure they are filed right, if theyre not then thats when you get hangnails and they can chip...make sure to also use base coat and top coat

Yeah I try to have polish on my nails all year round bec if I dont they chip like crazy, but then I have a habit of putting my fingers in my mouth and they tend to become soft and pull right off

Re: Wedding-Day Manicure? What are you doing?

i haven't had silk wraps in a few years and I prefer my regular nail but I'm more worried about the honeymoon for 15 days. If I get silk wraps at least they will look nicer for longer. I don't want to have to keep doing my nails on the honeymoon. decisions...decisions!

Re: Wedding-Day Manicure? What are you doing?

French Mani/Pedi. I have natural long nails so as long as I go for a weekly manicure starting 6 weeks before the wedding I should be all set. I may have her add a gel coat so that they last through the HM.
