I say it looks beautiful and if thats what you want, thats should do! Good for you want to do something different, rather than follow the norm.

My friend wore an Ulla Maija and it was very flowy and light, kinda the same feel as the style Halle wore, but the detail is down the back. Here's her dress....

ETA: OK...on second thought they aren't at all alike, but the ruffles made me think of it...

You GO FOR WHAT YOU WANT. I'm also not a lover of the 'traditional' and you should go with what makes you happy. People will know you're the bride and that dress is going to be a WOW.

i think if that is the gown that gives you the its right feeling go for it no matter what anyone else thinks - it is your wedding and your gown and you want what will make you feel georgeous -
never settle on a dress cause you think it is what a bride is suppose to look like - choose something that is you.

i think the gown would be lovely and i look forward to seeing photos when it is ready

Thank you all for your opinions. Honestly I do think that I probably will wear too dresses. So when I do find the ceremony gown, i'll be sure to show, but if I don't Halle's it

!

Oh and by the way I not looking for the split to be just like Halle's, thats where Teri comes into place

I wouldn't want that being a bride, but it's a pretty dress. One other thing the slit in the front is to high especially for bride!

Its all about what makes u happy. You can wear anything and it will look gorgeous. It also depends on the type of wedding u are having.

I think you should wear what makes you feel beautiful. I think it is special enough for a wedding gown. Those gowns are made for these women and you won't see them coming and going.
