Re: weight loss stress

I think I have a fear of regret. As if, I will regret not losing weight before the wedding.

I think you make a good point, that there is a lot more important things to think about on our wedding day, but for me it's not just about losing weight for the wedding. I've always struggled with my weight and now is a time to get that under control and changing my (our) lifestyles for the better.

Exactly - I have struggled a lot too - thats why I always check out threads like this - and the only thing that really made lasting changes was lifestyle - and it took me years - YEARS - to lose the weight I did. I worry about the ladies saying extraordinary numbers they want to lose - 40 pounds, even 20 pounds in a matter of weeks - it took me 2 years to lose 20 pounds - but I'll never gain it back...

whats going to happen aftert he crash diets and the insane amount of working out? Won't people feel worse when they gain it all back and then look at their wedding pics and say - I was so thin - I'll never look like that again!

Don't get mad ladies, I have suffered for so long - at 32 I am finally appreciating my body - and never want to hate it ever again - and yes, I have thought - must lose for the wedding, and then I have to stop and say - Why???

ETA: Not too long ago - probably last week or so, I posted a long whiny post about everything, and even included that I felt like a heiffer - so trust me - i still go there sometimes... EVERY pic I have seen of all of you ladies - I think - wow - she is so beautiful!!!

Can i ask you guys something - on your wedding day, at that point - do you REALLY think that you are going to think about your weight? Yes - we think about it now - but you will be marrying the man you love - you will be in a beautiful dress and all glammed out partying your butt off - when will you have time to think - dang my thighs look huge????

No that day..I won't worry...for me it's the pictures....thats the whole story!

This I can say at least I have done well with. It took me a year to lose 20 pounds, bt I did it really healthily (weight watchers) and have made permanant lifestyle changes. My body is at that happy point...where I think i can stay...but I am not at that happy point....it's my own hang ups!! Damn Weight

Re: weight loss stress

Are you kidding? This is all I think about! I'm so stressed about wedding planning and now the whole weight issue is driving me crazy too! I want to lose 10-20lbs before my wedding too and I have about 4 1/2 months left to go. I've cut junk food out of my daily routine, if I snack it's a banana. For breakfast I have oatmeal, lunch is soup and I have a normal dinner but instead of rice I have salad. I wake up every morning and work out with weights and I walk on the treadmill everyday for about 20 minutes. I've been doing this since the 1st of the year and I've lost 6lbs already. I should reach my target by the wedding...hopefully. Wish me luck!
