Re: Weird foods that aren't so weird to YOU
I like peanut butter and fluff sandwiches with raspberry jam and mini chocolate chips
It'll knock your teeth out I only have it once in a while. My grandma used to eat pickled pigs feet. I always hated that cause when I went in her fridge there would be only one or tow left and they'd be floating in the jar. BLLEECCHHHH!!

Re: Weird foods that aren't so weird to YOU
Since I don't eat bread (well very little bread - I lost 47 pounds in 1 1/2 years) I eat hummus alot - with a spoon. For breakfast I have cottage cheese and brown rice - people think I'm weird, but it works for me! I also eat almond butter with jelly - again with a spoon. Yep, I eat strangley!!
But I LOVE stuffed cabbage, which also grosses some people out.

Bannana sandwiches! EVERYTIME I ate it in school or at work. I'd get these faces. I love them!! I don't think it's very 'Irish' but my husband eats them as well so I'm happy!!
My Dad used to make applesauce sandwiches as well!! I've eaten aligator, kangaroo stew & other stuff. If you go to any Brazilian or Portugese place where they have a Radizzio (sp) they just bring by all sorts of meat & you get to try them all.

Since we are Italian we do the whole Christmas Eve fish thing- my DH can't get over it because we have fried smelts (bigger than a sardine- the whole body of the fish fried minus head and tail)... and we also have fried eel.Of course we have 'normal' fish too but we also have scungili salad (conch) with onion, celery and a lemon dressing.

Mine don't seem so weird now
We like to mix cream cheese with sweet relish and stuff it in celery or just use it to dip vegetables in (I love that).

My mom used to make us peanut butter and bacon sandwiches... I only have one every few months, but it's total comfort food for me! Don't knock it 'till you try it!
Tastes really yummy!

Venison! It is really good. It only freaks me out when my sister starts in with references to Bambi...

I like peanut butter and sharp cheddar cheese sandwiches....I like to make pasta, drench it in parmesan cheese and then pour balsamic vinegar on it to make it 'tart.' FH cannot get over it - thinks it is so nasty.

Peanut butter and honey sandwiches…yum. I’m also a big fan of all features of the Christmas Eve fish spread while DH is totally grossed out by it.

pschica - I sent you forum mail. Got any good Lithuanian recipes? I would love to surprise my dad with some.I laughed at seeing kugalas - growing up we use to always laugh at my grandma and her Lithuanian foods like such. Now, that I am grown up and my am open to new foods I wish she was around to take me to the old Lithuanian restaurant (if it was still around!) or cook me up some kugulas!
