Thats true, you never know. I just really like the feel of the Garden Room. Very dark and elegant. If only it was just a TAD bigger, it would relieve a lot of brides stressing so much:)

So glad to hear I'm not the only one who just LOVES the garden room!

The main reason I booked WM is because I wanted a more intimate wedding and the Garden Room definitely gives me that feeling.
I love the fact that we have the Library too. We have some kids attending and I know that they'll definitely be spending some time in there. It just annoys me that they told me it fits 150 comfortable. Thank God my list isn't that high but I think that's terrible for them to tell someone that and than hear on here that it will be too tight.

I think the WM's perception of 'max' and our perception of what is comfortable will be different. I love the WM and I absolutely LOVE the Garden Room - but lets face it - they pack in 150+ bodies in the Garden Room as opposed to 120 or so - that's extra $$$$$ that they are making on their end regardless!

Garden Room brides, don't worry - it will all work out for us! We'll have a great time and our guests will think its lovely no matter what!

In the scheme of things, its 5 hours out of our entire lives - will our guests really remember that they maybe sat a little to close to crazy Uncle Freddy and Aunt Edna at our wedding?!!

I have a flower centerpiece question.. Since we are having the oval (oblong) tables do you think I should go for a low oval shape centerpiece or a square vase? TIA

I'm not a past bride, but when I told the florist that the tables were oblong, she said that should would make oval cps for me.

ok have a another question about the seating in the manor room. If I have to put 14 to a table will it be tight? I called to ask if I could add another table and they told me that they could but that its was going to be tight. As I am doing my seating arrangements I am wondering why the WM told me that the Manor room holds at least 350. I have about 260 and I am having a problem seating people. I have about 3-4 tables with 14 at them and I am worried that they are going to be squishy. Help me please!

I am doing 3 small centerpieces to space it out a bit...2 julep cups filled with flowers on either end with a low candelbra wrapped with flowers in the center

Our florist (who was the house florist) recommended long and low CPs....which is what we're doing.

Our florist who is rec by WM- Pedestals rec high CP's, we went with the high and it was perfect especially for the manor room- it is a HUGE room and low CP's will get lost- if you are in the Garden Room def low CP's would be perfect. In may when I went to a party in the garden room, we peeked into the wedding in the manor room to see how they set it up and my DH was the first to say- it looks so bare- he of all people ( who couldnt care less about flowers) made a comment you need something tall on the tables whether candleabra or flowers. and at this wedding and mine all oblong tables used- they are not that long- once the tables are filled up with the place settings, glasses, favors,etc. it doesnt appear long anymore. I have a picture with my room in a few pages back that show with the high CP's.

They recommended high cps to us also.. we are actjually doing alternating high/low, which just gives the room some contrast..

Good point! I should add to my post I'm talking about the Garden Room. That is where we are. This is also the same person who gave perfect estimate on how crowded it gets in the Garden Room too....I trust him completely...wish they didn't change..
