Re: westbury manor vs. fox hollow

I am obviously bias to the Westbury Manor - I love that place. They have treated me like gold even after I have given them my money!!

Re: westbury manor vs. fox hollow

Both are gorgeous and owned by the same family.
I liked the layout of the room (more of a square) and the grounds at WM... but it was also a lot more $$
Fox Hollow had the convenience of the hotel right next door.
Either way you cant go wrong :)

Re: westbury manor vs. fox hollow

I think they are both gorgeous, but i went with Fox Hollow because it was less expensive, they were giving us more for our money, and Westbury manor wanted a bigger guarantee for the room that we liked there, but that was just us... good luck in your choice!

Re: westbury manor vs. fox hollow

They are both beautiful!!!!!! I just felt the fox hollow was a very guys guy place. I thought westbury manor was a little more elegant. The menu at both is awesome but I think fox hollow has a slightly better price. You can't go wrong with either place.

Re: westbury manor vs. fox hollow

I haven't been to Westbury Manor, but I'm obviously partial to Fox Hollow. They're both owned by the Scotto Brothers. They probably both have their things that people like about them. You'll have to check them out. The Fox Hollow has a hotel right next door though. If that is something that is super important to you, that could sway your decision.

Re: westbury manor vs. fox hollow

Ok Im a FoxHollow bride & i will tell you the reason for why i choose them over Westbury Manor.

I love WM i think its absolutely beautiful but for me personally i went to a wedding & the cocktail hour was so tight it was the most uncomfortable room to me. ME & Fh didnt even eat because it was to difficult to get to it. Good thing we were near the bar. lol Anyway, they did suggest to us to use the three different rooms. But i really disliked that option. Why would i want all of my giests in three different rooms. Plus the other wedding nobody even knew that was there. However, as i said i love WM just not good for my wedding that consists of 250/275 people.

Also, i didnt see any difference in price at all from WM to Fox.

Anyway, all i know is that they are owned by the same people & the food at Fox Hollow is amazing! I love the ambience for my winter wedding & allof the fireplaces. The grounds are pretty but WM's are better. But teh Fox Hollow fo rme was it! Im so happy withmy choice. You hav eto go with what you love most!

Good Luck!

This is what i will be having! I love the Garden Terrace, room it is beautiful. Also if it is nice out, you get to have your CH out in the garden if you choose (if you are not having it in the middle of winter of course!) Check out the fox hollow thread for more reviews from brides that have had weddings in these rooms.

Re: westbury manor vs. fox hollow

I looked at both halls. Of the two, I liked Westbury Manor better. I thought Westbury Manor was fabulous. The rooms were huge and beautiful. The outside was amazing- esp. if you want to have an outdoor CH. The menu for WM was great and I felt like I would be getting alot for my money.

Re: westbury manor vs. fox hollow

I fell in love with both of them when i saw them...Just cant figure out which one I really prefer. I dont really like the 3 different rooms of cocktail hour at Westbury and Im not completely in love with the Briar Fox at Fox Hollow...Maybe Im just being too picky!

Re: westbury manor vs. fox hollow

We went with the Fox Hollow, but WM was one of our top choices as well. But I didnt like the fact that the only time you could have a ceremony there on a Sunday was at 11:30, we originally wanted an evening wedding, but we would have had to find another site that would perform the ceremony. I also was concerned with the lack of elevators, I have several people (MOB included) who cannot do stairs, and that would have been an issue. I also was not thrilled with the way the room they showed us was set up, the Bar was in a separate room from the dinner, and I felt guests would be to divided between the rooms. But that is my opinion, and we have a small guest list.

Both are beautiful, both have a different feel to them. They are owned, as has been said, by the same people, so either choice would be wonderful for food. WM has beautiful grounds outside, and I have heard nothing but good things from there
