Re: What are you walking down to for your ceremony ?

I think i'm going to walk down to Howie Day- Collide.

It's going to sound corny but i just feel that my FH came into my life when i wasn't looking or expecting it and that was it. And as it turned out, i'm lucky he came into my life when he did because as strong as i know i am... the couple of years after we got together, i needed him the most.

Help, I dont know what to wald down to

Parents/pre-bridal party - Bongiorno Principesa
Bridal Party - Pachelbel Canon in D
Me - 'Here Comes the Bride' ... so dramatic when it's actually OUR turn to walk down to this!

I always imagined walking down the aisle to 'Here Comes the Bride' too - but my FH is Jewish and Wagner was an anti-semite or something so I've heard/read that it is very disrespectful to use that song in the jewish religion....I asked my FH if he would mind and he said yes....so now I'm using Trumpet Voluntary which I also love - especially hearing actual trumpets play it will be so nice (using Royal Brass).

I am not sure yet - but I was thinking...the theme from St. Elmo's Fire....such a pretty instrumental song. But that might be a bit lame...

Re: What are you walking down to for your ceremony ?

At my FH's brother's wedding...the BP walked into the instrumental music of Rainbow Connection.....it was so beautiful! Then the bride walked into Moon River - also really lovely!

I am more into the traditional stuff like Jesu Joy of Man's Desiring and Trumpet Voluntary....but I did really think those 2 songs were beautiful for walking in to.

Re: What are you walking down to for your ceremony ?

Not into the bridal march for me....

For me, Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring, Bach
BP: Sheep May Safely Graze, also by Bach

My first voice and piano teacher is playing the organ for my Mass and two good friends from college are playing the BP processional on flute along with the organ...so the music will be extra special as i walk down the aisle! :)
