Re: What is your church fee?
I've heard many brides that had to come up with thousands of dollars as a 'church donation'? How could this be??
And here all along, I thought I was saving on getting married at my hall but it comes to about the same of what you girls are spending

Re: What is your church fee?
My church is $400 and the singer/organist are $150 which is optional. The amount is for both ceremony or full mass service. It is optional to tip the priest and alter boys. Going to school in the same parish I'm getting married I know how happy it makes a 11 y/o alter server to get $5, $10 or the big ones are $20. The priest does not give up a vow of poverty that is the nuns so they appreciate the tips.
Warning!!! I was recently at a wedding in Franklin Square where the church shut off all the lights as soon as the bride and groom were in the back at the recieving line. They didn't get ANY PICTURES ON THE ALTER!!!!! The priest said it was too expensive to have the electricity running for that long. So Ladies CHECK W/ YOUR CHURCH FOR HOW LONG THEY WILL LEAVE THE LIGHTS ON!!!!

Yep, so you might be able to write it off as a deduction on your taxes!
