Re: What reception hall was your second choice???

We didn;t really have a 2nd choice. We loved NRC and the rest we looked at didn't fulfill our needs, too small, too far, too expensive, etc...

Re: What reception hall was your second choice???

Bourne Mansion...totally out of our price range but definitely do-able with some major sacrifice.

Re: What reception hall was your second choice???

I was actually between three. So Watermill and EastWind Estate where my second choices.

Though my choices where based on what I could afford. I would of liked to have my wedding at Lands End, Flowerfields or Bourne Mansion.

Re: What reception hall was your second choice???

The Pridwin on Shelter Island and the Onterio in upstate NY were my second runner ups - but Deseversky won me over even though I wanted a weekend away wedding.

Majestic Gardens, we loved the banquet manager and the outdoor ceremony site....

afterward I wished I would have looked at Giorgios because it looks gorgeous. But, I love the Vineyards

Re: What reception hall was your second choice???

we actually chose our second choice!

i love love love east wind and was ready to book it when i realized the timing issue of driving all the way out there from east rockaway. we would have no time for pictures!

we had gone to a few weddings at WM and loved it, so we booked it.

i still miss east wind though

Re: What reception hall was your second choice???

Mine was the Watermill. It was a tough choice between where we ended up going with and them.

I also liked Land's End, Lombardi's on the Sound, & Giorgios.

But my hall was my top choice!

Re: What reception hall was your second choice???

out of the halls we visited, I would say the Stewart Manor Country Club.

It is lovely and extremely well-priced. the BM James was great- interested, but not pushy. It had a nice cosy feel, just maybe not as polished as the WM, but definitely beautiful...it definitely has a 'country club' feel to it- and again, the price was unbeatable...had we not gotten such a deal at the WM, that probably would have been it.

If we had a million dollars LOL, I would have either had the Picnic House in Prospect Park, or Atlantica....sooooo far for us, but I saw pics of a wedding there and both fh and I were enthralled...what a lovely setting.

Re: What reception hall was your second choice???

We liked Giorgio's alot but would have to have had a day wedding, which I didn't want. We didn't really fall in love with any other place that we looked at - we proably would have kept on looking.
