I told them 2 weeks earlier than my actual date.

I told the truth - these salons have a reputation to hold up so if your dress is not in a month before your wedding, you just HOUND them & HOUND them until the day it arrives....

woops.....I told them my real date. I am using a shop that has gotten raves, and the dress is coming in two months in advance, so I'm not too worried.

Which shop???

I actually told them the real date and now I don't know what to do

My cousin (who was in the wedding industry) told me to call them back and give a sob story about how I changed the date but now I have to tell them I changed it to a month before so they don't get suspicious

I would just leave it. You have a year to get the dress, so it shouldn't be a problem.

You reminded me, I have to check in with my place soon...

I lied by 2 weeks. When the dress comes in, then I will give the real date.

I lied by a month, but I can get away with it because my dress is a corset back. I guess I'm a bit paranoid, but it was easier for me to remember MLK weekend than some other random weekend in January. They EXPECT you to lie...you really have to.
