we've always done 'mom'.. even from just dating for a few months. i dont call her mom, but actually i never call her anything (i try to avoid addressing her with a proper name, it always feels awkward )

If it is also from FH/DH IMO you should write mom.

I call my MIL by her first name but on cards I always right MOM and sign it from the both of us. I usually write something in english and DH will write something ( usually VERY SIMILAR to what I wrote) in Italian

When it's from me and FH I always write mom and dad or something similar. Right now she's getitng nothing! She can choke on it

That's what I did - I bought the card and stuck a stamp on it, but HE had to write it out!
