We really haven't bought wedding stuff yet. Am I that behind?! My wedding is in about 6 months, yet the only things we have are books!

That is one of the reasons that I was warned by a past bride not to get too excited buying up a lot of things, b/c 1) People give you a lot of the stuff at your shower ie toasting flutes, guest book, server sets, garter etc. 2) You will always get the stuff you need, wedding supply stores are not going out of business before your wedding 3) Getting it too early will make you 2nd guess your purchases, b/c you might see something else come along and you might not be able to get rid of it 4) In my/your excitement you might purchase more than you need, I learned the hard way. I threw away so much unused wedding junk. Ladies I know at times it can be hard to resist but be patient in your purchases. LIZ

yes you, I think when your MOH send out your shower invite she will have to include a list that says Do not buy a, b, c she already purchased it for herself

julybaby, as you can see in my post, I don't have that much stuff either... only baskets and pillow.
I also will need to buy invites, ketubah and kippot, but that's a bit later down the road. I don't know what else I'll need in the 'stuff' category

I'm trying to calm down
So far I got, almost everyting for my CD favors, white bells for kissing, champagne flutes, unity candle holder, serving set, and ringbearer pillow.
I'm not THAT bad, am I?

BTW, it's been crushing me not to get the garter yet

Lizlen, start making those favor's then at least your stuff will look all neatened up and should take up less space.

Liz, I see patience is not one of your better virtures Did you know that my MOH gave me my garter on my wedding day and the dress shop gave one to me as my something blue, what the heck am I doing with so many. I guess you are not doing too badly. Hubby just kept asking my when all the junk was going to disappear

ha ha, when I told Len to prepare space in back of the couch, he almost fell on the floor

Alina, I cant make the favors yet b/c we're not taking the pics until March We both want to get in better shape first

Liz I am with you. I bought alot of stuff too. My MOH always asks what did I but this week so she can tell people not to I guess

My apt. is loaded with stuff We can't get to the crawl space until after we take out Christmas tree down so we have to make due till we get back from our honeymoon

All my stuff is in my room or in the attic, my father just told me the last time he was up there, there was to much stuff and he can't wait for it to all go!

Well im in the process of moving out, so I've been packing boxes and putting it in the middle room(the guest room) until I pack them in the trailer. So any things I get for the apartment, I'm taking with me.

I don't know when I get to my new apartment where we will put it, but most of the stuff will be coming down.

With the real important things, like my dress, headpiece and veil, will either be staying at my sisters house or my mothers. I'm not entering any of those items in the state of Florida for my FH to see

I'm keeping everything in different boxes in my house (I still live at home). Every once in awhile, I take everything out to look at it.
