JimmysBride Im with you FH did the same thing but we got to pick the house together. Still Im not on it but that will change after the wedding

We have been living with my mother for the past year and 3 months to save for a house. With the money we saved and the money from the wedding we are buying a house. In fact we are just waiting for a closing date.

I can't wait!!!!!!!

I haven't the foggiest idea. We could stay where we are, we could move.

I should say, however, that I am hightailing it down to Baltimore as soon as possible!

They have apartment complexes there!

FI may have just gotten a great job offer down in Baltimore!! I would be more than happy to move considering we don't have a clue what we would do if we stay here. I went to college down there and loved it. A lot more reasonable than NY!

We're staying put. We have a house in White Plains, but it needs a lot of updating to make it 'our' home. Right now we live downstairs in a 1 bedroom apt, but we're going to be taking over the whole house (3 more bedrooms upstairs) now. We're hoping to make the upstairs liveable before the wedding, but some projects may have to wait until after.

i dont know where to live.....i ant afford eastern suffolk!!!!!!!! an i cant elave my family!!
we were set on PA for a while houses are gorgeous!!!!! but i cant leave my island! :(

and i feel as if we rent..that we'll never be able to save

Our house. We are in contract now and plan on moving in by the beginning or middle of June.

My apt in BKLYN.. My apt is rent stabilized, so we'd be crazy to move. This way we can save more money quicker and get a house.

We were going to buy a house but We have money coming to us and would never get it before the wedding. So we just got an Apartment in N. Bellmore. Its 3 bedrooms Huge EIK and huge living room. My cousin rents the first floor of the house we have the 2nd floor. And my aunt and uncle and other cousins (one is my age the other 2 are 1 year older and two years older then me) live acros the street.

We will start looking for a place in Jan or Feb 2005.. so we can be all moved in before the wedding in May. Hopefully somewhere near water..

We are buying a house in Centereach, jsut went to contract and our closing date is June 1!!! I LOVE IT!

Pookiesangel, my advice with house hunting start earlier (if you are talking about a house) we started looking seriously in October but it took us a while to find our home!
