Re: where was the best wedding you've ever been to?

Just went to a wedding on Tribeca Rooftop last Friday! The space is amazing with the view of the city all around and very NYC, the service is unbelievable and the food.. WOW!! I was eating and drinking non stop
Best wedding so far!

Also went to the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens last August.. stunning grounds!

Re: where was the best wedding you've ever been to?

I would have to say Russo's on the Bay and Villa Lombardi's - but it isn't always just the place. I've been to more than one wedding at the same hall and felt that one was WAY better than the other. I think it has a lot to do with the feeling you get from the couple, the energy of the crowd, and the little extras that make it special JMO.

Re: where was the best wedding you've ever been to?

I haven't been to too many weddings...but the ones that stand out was one at Terrace on the Park. They had rolling bars and the service was top notch, I danced all night.
My sister's wedding at a restaurant in Brooklyn. It was buffet food, small wedding (only family and very few friends) and the happiness was evident. I had a blast.

ETA: Of course, MY wedding is the best so far...it rocked! I'm highly biased! But it was a combination of both I described above. So much love and incredible service...I worried not for a thing and my guests were so grateful for being invited.

Would I sound b*tchy if I said my OWN wedding? And I really mean it. I've never been to another wedding where the food, service or atmosphere was as wonderful as our own wedding

Re: where was the best wedding you've ever been to?

the crow's nest out in the hamptons...

we were a little younger then and stayed the whole weekend. it was so much fun.

i loved my ceremony. my priest made it so personal and presented us with a certificate of congratulations from the pope.
the reception was a little hectic for me, but being surrounded by dear friends and family was the best feeling...

Re: where was the best wedding you've ever been to?

Honestly, I think it is very hard to rate an entire wedding. The hall can be great and the DJ stinks or vice versa. Or all the flowers may die be gorgeous but the video guy is an a$$. Very hard to be objective. Personally, it isnt always about food for me. The food gets digested but the music gets people up and smiling thus creating great memories in your pictures and video.

Probably the Riviera in Brooklyn. The food was plentiful and the service was unsurpassed.

I have to agree!

Re: where was the best wedding you've ever been to?

Historic Old Bermuda Inn on Staten Island. Everything was great except for the DJ my brother had who was a last minute replacement.

Hard for me to really judge because almost every wedding I've been to, I was in the BP and was usually too busy to enjoy the CH or anything else!!!

But I will say my cousin's wedding at Astoria World Manor was great, the DJ rocked (ironically the same DJ my brother booked) but the photographer was not well organized!! We were standing there waiting for pics to be taken for about an hour while her DH's family was taking pics!!

Re: where was the best wedding you've ever been to?

There would be a tie between Smithtown Landing and the Watermill. And honestly, I don't really remember the food, or the centerpieces, I remember having fun with my friends and celebrating their new marriage. It really is the couple that make the celebration memorable, all the other things are just extra.

Re: where was the best wedding you've ever been to?

I've been to a lot of out of state weddings that have been really nice. One was at the Pleasantdale Chateau in New Jersey. Great food, beautiful space, great band.

That's sooo true! One of the best weddings I've ever been to was at a dinky little hall in Brooklyn and the food wasn't even all that good but I'm not a food person so that doesn't faze me. It was a great PARTY, we all had SOO much fun.

The best wedding that I've been to as far as food and ambiance have been at Russo's and Oheka.
