I don't think my dj will be there for 8 hours. It doesn't take them an hour to set up and an hour to breakdown there equipment. Maybe a band is different.

I'm sure they get there at least an hour before they start. Even a DJ has stuff to set up and sound checks to do to make sure everything is working right.

Bands get there even earlier I bet.

Im not sure. My hall may have an event before ours starts. That wedding could go to 5:30 - 6 so Ive been told. Ours starts at 6:30. They also could set up during the cocktail hour since it is in a seperate room.

Do you feed the people who play music at the cocktail hour if they are seperate from your band/dj?

If they are separate I wouldn't. If they are going to be staying through your reception, yes.

I fed
2 photographers
1 videographer
6 band members

It was my understanding from the hall that I had to feed everyone--they asked how many vendors I had & I told them so it was included into my final payment.

Thats interesting that your hall automatically included it. I guess that makes everything easy as long as you give them the right amount of people.

We're feeding: DOC, DJ + assistant, 2 photographers, 2 videographers. All of these people will be working ALL day.

They are working for you !! I was at a wedding once and the videographer passed out from not eating and she had no more footage that day.
I felt so bad for my cousin

can't they just bring a Power Bar? LOL! (KIDDING!!!)
