Are you feeding Photographer, Videographer and DJ??

I know it can be a lot- We have 10 people in the band- 2 photographers, 1 assistant, 1 videographer, and a DOC- We have a string trio for the cocktail hour only - Do they get meals? The cello player is a guest at the wedding. The violinist and flute player are only there for the CH??

It's important to keep in mind that the vendors you get the discount on eat in a back room at most places. So for the Deacon - no.

My DJ told me not to feed them b/c they will be too busy....Whoohoo, 3 less people to feed

The DJs dinner is compted because he is a house vendor. I am feeding the photo and videographer

that's interesting. so when do they eat? would the DJ stop playing music -and the photo stop snapping pics in the middle to eat, or do they eat at the end or something?

They usually eat when you eat. The DJ/band will play pre-programed music and since everyone's eating nothing interesting is going on for the photographer to miss.

They usually eat when you eat. The DJ/band will play pre-programed music and since everyone's eating nothing interesting is going on for the photographer to miss.

Just those that are working during my reception:
1 photographer
1 videographer
6 band members

The priests are family friends as are my ceremony musicians, so they will be eating as GUESTS and friends, not as vendors.

I always thought you have to feed every one.
You don't want them leaving your site to go to Mc Donald's..When you tell the hall you only pay half anyway.

They are working for you !! I was at a wedding once and the videographer passed out from not eating and she had no more footage that day.

I can totally understand the Photog because they are there all day but why is it necessary to feed the band/DJ when they are just there for 5 hours? I am planning on feeding all these people but I don't get the DJ. I feel bad for people who go with a band with 5 members.

all of them should eat if they stay. But normally its the photographer, videographer, band/dj and anyone else who will be there longer than 3-4 hours.

The band/dj is not there just for 5 hrs. There's set up time and sound check time. Then there's break down time-travel time..etc..

It's an 8 hour day.

My band said they do not eat--and not to feed them-- that they'll eat at the cocktail hour and play all through dinner

I don't think my dj will be there for 8 hours. It doesn't take them an hour to set up and an hour to breakdown there equipment. Maybe a band is different.
