it was christmas eve and we were in his room. . .so when we walked out we told his whole family ( only his parents knew) then we went to my house and told my whole family (only MY parents knew of course) but the first person i called was my BF Jenn ( who had just gotten engaged the night before!)

then i called everyone else in the entire world who was unfortunate enough to have given me their number :)

My fiance proposed at a restaurant in front of my parents, my four brothers, my sister in law and his son! after that, we called his family and then friends. i was happy that he got my family in on it. everyone knew except my mom - she would've blown it!!!

LOL my whole family already knew..... SO When i called my mother she knew... Then When i went back to my house to show my mom & dad FH's parents and sister were already there with wine & Cake

I guess technically it was my FBIL that we told first because he proposed really late at night - like 1:00am!! But the first person I actually told was my MOH. I called her at 2:00 in the morning but she didnt' answer. Then I couldn't sleep so I called her at like 7am the next day to tell her cuz I promised her she'd be the first person I told!! Then I ran downstairs and told my parents. I was so excited!!

His parents already knew, but I only called my sister the night we got engaged....everyone else had to wait until the next morning!! Since me & FH were out that night, I figured it was more our night to just enjoy ourselves...rather than him having to sit there hearing me repeat every single detail to all my friends/family!!!

My Dad and then my Mom...then I just kept calling and calling people-we were away on vacation!

well his parents and brothers family were the first to know since they witnessed it but right after that I called my mommy and then went home to my dad and stepmom and my sibling to tell them in person
