Wine/Vineyard Themed Weddings

For everyone who has gotten married or is getting married at a vineyard, was wondering fi you were doing anything to carry on the theme through other parts of your weddings. I was thinking of using wine bottles in my centerpieces, anyone done that before? Any pictures?

I think I may get corks and use them as place card holders. Any suggestions on a cheap place to order these.

Anyone get wine themed invitations? I know of the one from Carlton Craft and the one from Chase. Any others out there.

Any suggestions are appreciated

I'm getting married at Raphael Winery. Unfortunately I'm not doing what you are asking, but here are some of the stuff that we had thought about and/or will be doing:

1) Wine bottles, wine charms, or wine stoppers as favors
2) Grapes and vines to decorate our cake
3) Wine bottle-shaped magnets for our save-the-dates
4) Wine tasting at the wedding for our guests
5) Wine bottles (the reserve ones) as BM and GM gifts

Re: Wine/Vineyard Themed Weddings

I got married at Raphel. Instead of lighting unity candle, we mixed red & white wines then shared.
I got my invites at www.paperdirect.com -->

http://www.paperdirect.com/searchResults.asp?ppp=&UseStoredQuery=1&S1value=vineyard

Everyone loved them, used them also for the programs.

We used a wine tasting journal as our guest book.

Our cake was decorated with grapes --

We decorated vineyard baskets with grapes and vines for the bathrooms.

I used small berries in my flowers that resembled champagne grapes. We had bubbles (bubbly, get it??) blown as the ceremony ended, instead of petals or rice..

Re: Wine/Vineyard Themed Weddings

A friend of mine also named the tables the names of wines. He also used corks for the place card holders, but I don't know where he got them. Their favors was a metal bucket with fake grapes and a mini-wine bottle inside.

The theme was adorable.

Re: Wine/Vineyard Themed Weddings

We were married at Wolffer and did 2 half bottles of wine as our favors. (And of, course, Wolffer wine was flowing freely!) We didn't want to overkill the wine theme. Instead, we mixed in a tropical theme with island cuisine and a tropical band! It was an interesting and unique combo! :)

Re: Wine/Vineyard Themed Weddings

I saw a bio on the knot once that had a picture of a reception where the bride used the bottle of wine with the cork already half pulled out with a cut into it to display the table numbers. It was a very clever idea I thought.

Re: Wine/Vineyard Themed Weddings

Although our theme isn't specifically a vineyard theme, we are getting married at one. We're giving away a full bottle of wine per couple as our favors. Here is a pic of our placecard holders. I got the unused wine corks on ebay.

Re: Wine/Vineyard Themed Weddings

I got married on Friday and had a wine theme. I used corks for the place cards. I have about 30 left over if you want them (for free). I also named my tables by wine names and put them in beautiful frames which I am selling once I get back from my honeymoon. Let me know if you want to see pictures of the frames. You can see one of the frames in my album which was at the sweetheart table (bride and groom table)...we named our table champagne
