Try the Maine Maid Inn, they have a number of rooms of different sizes and do weddings.

Try the Bayview House at Captain Bills - the decor is very simple and the space is just gorgeous. It doesn't really have a reception hall feel at all.

ETA: It is right on the water too!

went to a christenimng there very nice!

i know I am biased, but we didn't get that reception hall feel from westbury manor. We felt it was more 'homey'.

Jonathons Restaurant on Jericho turnpike has a room that holds approx. 75, i am a huge advocate for that place it is yummy!!!

George Washington Manor has smaller rooms and is at a great location in Roslyn by the pond.

I would also check Milleridge.

Check out the Metropolitan Club. It is part of the Metropolitan Reception hall, but downstairs. It doesn't have a 'hall' feel at all. It is more of a supper club-type atmosphere. I don't know their minimum, but the club only holds like 100 people, so there min. shouldn't be too big.

One of the BEST websites I used to find a reception/ceremony site is

www.bizbash.com

It lists places by location and category. Try it. I am also having a small wedding (80people) and I chose a restaurant that caters to weddings. I have 2 rooms to use and it's pretty. FM me if you want more info.

windows on the lake in ROnkonkoma or Beach Club Estates on the Lake...both I think are ideal for small weddings

You need to guarantee 125 for the Bayview House. Try the mIller Beach Surf Club.

Sunset Harbour, I think is in Patchouge
it had a pretty little lobby, an outdoor deck and a T-shaped room with a view of the sunset over a little canal. It was pretty and intimate.

Plus I hear the food is outstanding. I think it was something like $70 for a Saturday night in the summer.
