Cathedral Veil is How Long?

How long is a cathedral veil usually? Like how far past your dress should it go? I am looking at pics from my first fitting and realized it is WAY longer than I thought. I thought it was only like a foot past my train (my train is probably about 2-3 feet), but it looks like it goes like 3 feet past my train!

I have my second fitting tomorrow, and I wonder if I should ask them if they can make it shorter somehow?

I have seen cathedrals from 8 feet to 15 feet. Mine is 9 which I think is the norm (from what the woman at the store said) but I could be completely wrong about that. HTH

Ok, thanks! I guess that would be about what mine is. It just seems so much longer than I thought!!

i have a chapel lentgh train and my cathedral veil is 120 inches long. it will go about 7 or 8 feet past my train if i did the math right.

120 inches is only 10 feet total. Unless you're a 'little person' this won't be the case/

My cathedral veil is 108, or 9 feet long. I have a chapel train, so I think it will be 2-3 feet past that

Mine is 108 as well. A cathedral goes up to 110. A regal is 111-120 (or more)

My cathedral veil is 144' (12 ft, and not really easy to find one that long)...it goesonly about 1 ft past the end of my obnoxiously long train lol
