Re: grooms cake ideas

The mini-cooper idea is fun, my FH loves those. I am getting a yankee stadium cake from Dortoni's in Nassau. Unfortunately I don't have a picture with me.

I am trying to find someone to make me a 1970 Chevelle. If not, then just METS, JETS or sports team.

Re: grooms cake ideas

I'm planning to do something casino/cards related. I was going to check out Torta Fina in Commack, Create-a-cake in Port Jeff and the Rolling Pin in Setauket.

Re: grooms cake ideas

We want to get one from Audreys. I can't decide which to do -

1. Ambulance (he's a paramedic) BUT made out of rice crispy treats - at the rehersal dinner

2. Armadillo - red velvet cake with grey icing!! I thought this might be a cute addition to the RC!! I love Steel Magnolias!! My Dad is definitely the ype of person to go up to it & cut off a nice peice of A$$!

(it's twisted but i had to say it!)

Re: grooms cake ideas

I'm thinking of getting the cake in the shape of a poker hand, a royal flush. FH and his friends love playing cards and they're going to Vegas for the bach. party.

Re: grooms cake ideas

I'm new to this whole idea of a 'groom's cake' but i think i get it. Is this normally done at the wedding in addition to the regular cake?

How much does one go for? Our regular cake is included so I have no idea what a cake costs. How much are they? $200 ? $50?
