Lawrence Beach Club

Hey everyone-

Is anyone a member at the Lawrence Beach Club in Atlantic Beach, NY?

Also, has anyone gotten married/been to a wedding there??

Well FH and I are DYING to get married here and so far we haven't had a great experience.. we spoke to a receptionist who relayed the message that we were looking into booking a wedding to the event coordinator. The event coordinator never called us back, instead the receptionist called us back several hours later saying she had spoken with the coordinator who said the date was open (june) but that we would have to be sponsored by a member and that we wouldn't find out for sure if the date was open until FEBRUARY. I am just shocked, and when I asked the receptionist if we could speak to the coordinator she was pretty rude and needless to say we never got a phone call back. I just really don't know what to do. This is truly my first and only choice in my mind... ahhh!!

Let me see if I can reach out to the people I know. Maybe try calling again though to see if you can speak to someone else and get a feel for how polite they are. Remember, first impressions are important!

I know I totally turned on the charm when she was being rude- haha i call it 'classy *****,' kill them with kindness ya know? I just really don't know what my next move should be because I don't want to annoy them, FH and I were thinking about stopping by there tomorrow because we thought a face to face encounter might be a little friendlier. FH also has a contact he is going to call tomorrow, but I cannot thank you enough for putting yourself out there to help me :)
