Putting hairspray on Veil????

Has anyone ever heard of spraying each layer of your veil with aerosol hairspray the day of your wedding to keep them stiffer if you want them to stay separate and poufy?? Ive never heard of it before, but the woman I got my veil from suggested in and it seems to make sense. Just wondering if anyone has heard of this or tried it?

Re: Putting hairspray on Veil????

Sorry I have never heard about this. But if it's true, it would be a good tip.

Re: Putting hairspray on Veil????

I have heard of it... My best friend got married 2 years ago, and her hairdresser told her to do this,

1: B/c it keeps from getting to much static

and

2: It does make it a little poofy, but keeps it open and doesn't bunch...

I have to say, it did work!!!

Re: Putting hairspray on Veil????

I have heard of this, but I didn't do it. I was very happy with my veil poofiness without the hair spray.

I heard the same thing. It's supposed to keep the veil from falling flat and to avoid static on a windy or muggy day. But who really knows. I will probably do you it b/c I will be thinking of it in the back of my head the day of my wedding if I don't...LOL

Re: Putting hairspray on Veil????

It also helps the blusher from getting that dent in front of your face.......
