VIP country Club in New Rochelle

this is the last post of the night.. promise! lol

Has anyone been to a wedding a VIP club in New Rochelle. FH and i looooove the entrance way, lobby, and cocktail. We both also think we are getting lot for our $.

I do have 1 concern. We would be using the smaller room and in their the DJ isn't against a wall. It's against a pilar but the bar is semi behind him.

Thoughts?

my FH brother's wedding was there, and it was AMAZING. it was last year, and i believe it was the 'bigger' room. i'm not too sure what it was called, but it had the large outside patio that led down to where the fountain/cocktail hour was.

i didn't see the room you're talking about, but if you're wondering about service, food, or anything else of that matter; VIP is perfect!

My wedding is gonna be there! This is so unoriginal but I picked the place because FH's sister had it there and it was amazing. Totally worth the money but she had in the big room so I don't know about small. What date are you looking at? Would be funny if we were the same day!

my shower was there and my wedding planner started as a banquet manager there! IT is an awsome place, ppl raved about the food!!!!!!!! It is awsome, and the ppl there work w u! I heard all wonderful things from guests and my parenst who did the shower for me.

I went to a sweet 16 there...I agree the lobby is very nice.

I am getting married in the small room. Im not worried about the DJ set up. They do it all the time and say its fine. The big room is nice too but too big for the size wedding I am having.

I always here good things about them though

I have been to a wedding there and loved it!! The food was amazing! I wanted my wedding there but it is too far from our church.

Can you go when they are set up for a wedding and see what it looks like? Maybe that will help ease your mind a bit

we were going to book there, i loved that place! we didnt bc were having a sunday night wedding and i wanted something a little closer to home so my guests could stay longer.... i didnt see the small room but the big room is fabulous! they can work with you on the minimums if your serious about booking there, they were very negotiable

we're having our wedding there in the small room and we booked a 9 piece band!!! The band has played there before with more people in the small room and said its really not a problem. I was worried about this too but it was the only negative to the place so we booked it anyways. The cocktail hour is amazing!!!!! we went to look when they were setting up for one and it was so beautiful and tons of food.

I'm getting married at VIP in just 2 months. I love it..i think it's absoultely fabulous & gorgeous & definitely great for the price. I checked out all the other venues along that strip & VIP just really stood out. We'll be in the small room as well since we'll only be having 100-115 guests.
I have my food tasting this weekend. yipee!! I cant wait

I'll let you know how the food tasting goes. We're bringing along my sister, sister-in-law & mother in-law to the tasting. The more the merrier plus i really want them to get a look at the place. We're actually doing our ceremony there as well. either outside if the weather permits or inside in front of the fire place which is in the big room...it's beautiful. I'll take pics of the rooms when i go this weekend & post them. the small room also is connected to a terrace might be the same terrace as the large room. I'll double check.

you also asked about greentree right? no offense to anyone who likes that place but i did not like it AT ALL. looks very old & plain. My fiance & I couldnt wait to get out the there. The surf club is also beyond amazing but they're closed until May 09 & we wanted March so that wasn;t a possibility for us.

yeah, i was going to look at greentree too but after reading all the reviews about it here i cancelled the appt. My bf is getting married at surf club in August and i'm her moh so thats out lol.

It sounds/looks really nice though.

Oh yea..you definitely can't have it at the same place. you want your own memories. but you have plenty of time to find a place. you're getting married in 2010 right? Just don't take too long to plan everything b/c you'll change your mind 100's of times on everything. I only started planning in october 08, yup just 6 months & its all coming together nicely. I also have an appt with my florist next week so i will see the centerpieces. I'll post pics of those too.

Im so glad to see more VIP brides. I think VIP is beautiful. PLease make sure to post about food tastings as well as pictures when you girls get married.
