Wives tales for good weather?

Anyone know any wives tales things for getting good weather on your wedding day.. I heard a rosary in your window is one...
luckily are saber guys for our arch were only delayed in florida and should arrive tonight, a bit shy of rehersal..

But would like some nice weather for the morning tomorrow!

My aunt swears by hanging the rosary in a tree in the backyard 1 week before the wedding...Her non-rain record 4-1!

Laurie, it may be fun to post this question on the newlywed board. You can find out what the bride to be did, and if it really worked!!

From reading your posts for the past months, I know that the scheduling and re-scheduling has made this all a pretty trying ordeal. It will all be worth it! Come back and let us know how wonderful your day was!

My mom has done what Sonicstef said a bunch of times. Put a statue of the virgin Mary in your window. It always seems to work!

A friend told me to put a statue of the virgin mary in the window the night before....I did it - it worked ...

I'm with you with the VM statue. My grandmother says she controls the weather. I also checked out an old wives tale site to see if there was anything else weaher related on there, and couldn't resist not posting this one:
If you see nine cows in a shed
with a gray bull next to the door,

Yikes! Anyone got a virgin mary statue to lend me!!

Where could I find one!! I'm doing the virgin Mary blessing tomorrow at the end of the mass!!

I was also told if you tape your wedding invitation faced out of your window it will bring good weather. WORKED FOR ME!!!!

I need to run out & get me a Virgin Mary statue, I think I'll get it this weekend with some other wedding stuff I need to get.
My mom is a religious Italian Cathoic & she has statues but not that one!
I am definately doing that AND the rosary beads AND the invitation.
I do NOT want rain!

I went with the statue in the window for my engagement party and we had a perfect day!!! (I just had to try one of the new faces!)
