My LONGGGG 9/17 Wedding and HM Review - Larkfield Manor, Duet, *******, Parties Alive. NOW WITH LINK TO DUET PICS!

LIW (10!)
First off, I want to thank Ron and Liz for creating this site. I still can't believe how many wonderful women I have had the pleasure of meeting from here. You are all truly the best. Your ideas and comments are always sincere and I appreciate everything. It's funny, because after my wedding people would ask 'Where did you get that idea!?!?' and I would laugh inside because almost every idea they would be talking about was something I attained from this site. The petal cones, save the dates, cake topper, OOT baskets, bathroom baskets, all these little things I would of never thought of. A friend's wife said to me the other day 'I wish I attended your wedding before my own because there were soo many little things I would of loved to have done that you did'. Hearing that made me smile, and I have you all to thank for that. Before my wedding planning begun, I always thought to myself 'Oh it's just one day,
nobody is going to notice those things'... But after going through it all, and hearing the compliments and appreciation that my guests had, makes it ALL worth every minute of it!

Word of advice to future brides... if you are able to take time off before the wedding, DO IT!! We were both off the Tues-Friday before the wedding and it was the best decision we ever made. That week was crazy and we had soo much running around to do, as well as last minute things that needed to be taken care of. If we were at work we would have had a few really stressful days before the wedding. The day before the wedding we were both able to just relax and just enjoy spending time with our family and OOT guests. Also, if you can, I would recommend taking a day in-between the wedding and the HM to rest. We were SHOT the day after the wedding and really needed that day to relax and get situated. It made for a more relaxing HM.

Ok and now for my review...

SAVE THE DATES
I cannot, for the life of me, remember the site I ordered these from but if and when I remember, I will edit to include the name. They came quick and the price was reasonable.

INVITATIONS
Party City (10)
New Hyde Park, NY
After spending HOURS at a vendor's shop looking through thousands of invitations, I settled on one and went to Party City to see if they carried the invite I wanted. Luckily for me, they did and I was able to
save 30%. I received the proofs in 3 days and the final invites were ready within 2 weeks. Final product was beautiful and I was extremely happy with the outcome.

CALLIGRAPHY
Bill @ Inkspun
www.inkspun.com
Bill is AWESOME!!! My envelopes looked great and they were ready in a day!!! Bill was always available to answer my questions and was a pleasure to work with. I HIGHLY recommend Inkspun!

FAVORS
Syosset, NY
We chose the chrome heart wine bottle stoppers. I went to Wrap with Us to order them and they arrived in less than 2 weeks. I actually rewrapped the favors because I wasn't crazy about the plastic box they came in and was really happy with the way they looked all wrapped up. All in all, my experience with Wrap with Us was great.

DIY PROJECTS
Petal cones
I had a little help with my petal cones from a friend at work. I printed them out myself and brought them in to her and she assembled them and put the bows on them. Since we were getting married at the hall, I wasn't sure people were going to know to throw the petals at us while we were walking about down the aisle but luckily EVERYONE threw them. Looking back on a home video my SIL took, I am soo glad I did them. I will post a pic of them when I get one.

Bathroom baskets
Another great idea I got from LIW was the bathroom baskets. My hall provided one, but I wanted to make my own. People kept coming over to me at the reception commenting on how much they liked the baskets (yet another reason I am grateful to LIW!)

Aisle bows
I made these myself. I bought the bows, styrofoam and flowers from Michaels. What a pain in the a$$ they were to make, but they looked soo pretty. I do not have a pic of them from the day of, but hopefully when I get my proofs back I will then be able to post a pic.

Votive Placecards
Another DIY project I found on LIW was the votive placecards. They looked awesome. I had Larkfield light them a few minutes before the guests were brought from the CH room to the ballroom. There was a table set up outside the ballroom with a photo of DH and I behind them. They looked sooo pretty all lit up. I do not have a pic of the table set up yet, but when I get my proofs back from Duet, I will post them as well.

Cake Topper
Ebay Seller - Cakejewels
I ordered my cake topper on Ebay. I actually ordered the set of 3 but I was not happy about the way DH's initial looked. It was noticeably
smaller than mine so we decided to just use our last initial 'B'. I painted the topper myself and decorated it with crystals.

'We Do' Letters
I bought the letters at Michaels and DH painted them all by himself. I think he did an awesome job on them and everybody thought they were cute.

Table Cameras
I did the table camera scavenger hunt and used paper that looked like my invites with the same bows from my invites on top of the list. Each list was sitting on an easel on the tables. Everyone thought they looked great. I actually bought the cheapest cameras I could find, the ones from Ebay. I read negative reviews about them on LIW but I have to say, I picked up my pics last night and they actually came out really good! I put stickers on each camera with a reminder to use the flash. Maybe that’s what helped. In any event, I was very happy with my purchase.

DRESS
******* Bridal (10)
426 Old Walt Whitman Road
Melville, NY
(631) 424-3377
My dress was 'Grace' by Maggie Sottero. I originally saw it in a shop and then heard about *******. When I got their price for it, it was 350 less than the other shop. I did a LIW search for ******* and read nothing but good things. I cannot say enough about Carole @ *******. I know I put her through hell (but hey, that's what brides are supposed to do!) but she was amazing. I am not sure of the name of the seamstress there but she was a doll. She had a lot of changes to do at my final fitting and when I went to pick up the dress everything was perfect!

My girls also got their dresses through *******. Their dresses were by Bill Levkoff (not sure of the style #) in Euro Champagne.
[\

VEIL
Barrons (10)
Tri-County
Great prices and wonderful to work with. They were sooo patient with me and were always wiling to offer their honest opinions.

TIARA
Borrowed from LIW's very own AJsMommy122 (Maxine) (10!!)
I had originally purchased a tiara from Barrons but was not 100% happy with it. After seeing Maxine's wedding pics I commented to her that her tiara was the one I had always wanted. I used to go into the store and just stare at it but my conscious would always make me leave the
store empty handed LOL I replied to Maxine's thread that her tiara was the one I wanted and was shocked to see her reply 'Want to borrow it?' I really wasn't sure what to make of it and couldn't believe that someone would be soo
generous to lend something to someone they had never met. Maxine, words cannot express my gratitude to you. You are truly an angel and I cannot thank you enough! That was the best 'something borrowed' I could have ever wished for!

SHOES
Sandy's Shoes (10)
Massapequa, NY
Great prices and wonderful staff. Would definitely shop there again. They even gave me a receipt to go back after the wedding and have my shoes dyed black for free.

HAIR
Sherry @ Headlines (10)
1019 Fort Salonga Road
Northport, NY 11768
631 754 6969
I found Sherry on LIW and had a trial with her at the shop she works out of in Ft. Salonga (East Northport). Sherry is awesome and I loved the way my hair came out. My niece also had her hair done by Sherry as well as one of my BMs. They were all very happy with the results.

MAKEUP
Marie Katz (10)
[email protected]
Marie has to be the sweetest person I have ever met. She is sooo funny and down to earth and made me feel soo calm on my day. Marie also did my makeup for my epics. I loved having the airbrushing done, so much more than traditional foundation. It is just soo much lighter and I didn't have to touch up ANYTHING all day, except lipstick. My makeup lasted from 12:00 p.m. till 12:30 a.m. and it looked just as good!!! I would HIGHLY recommend Marie Katz to all future brides.

TUXES
Men's Warehouse (5)
Carle Place, NY
DH dealt with this part of the planning and I wasn't really informed of too much. THANK GOD... because the tuxes came in 2 days before the wedding and when the guys went for their fittings there were LOTS of things wrong. DH's pants were too short, something was wrong with one of our BM's tuxes and all the shoes were dirty. Yes, I know they are rented shoes, but I was told they were disgusting. ALSO, my Jr. GM's tux was not in!! My Jr. GM lives in Florida. He was fitted in Tampa and I have a feeling they sent the tux there instead of to Carle Place. That could be the only reason why his was the only one that did not come in. Luckily, it was there the next day. It was just very inconvenient for everyone because they had to go back for another fitting. I was flipping out but didn't get involved, I had enough going on to worry about this. So I left it in DH's capable hands. We went back the day before the wedding and my Jr. GM's tux was in and just needed a few minor alterations, which they did while he waited. DH's tux was not the one he originally ordered and he was not happy about that. But, since it was the day
before the wedding, he just settled for what they gave him. I happen to think he looked great in what he was wearing and couldn't tell the difference between the tuxes.

OOT ACCOMMODATIONS
Hampton Inn (10)
680 Commack Road
Commack, New York
Contact: Susan Ostrowski
(631) 462-5700
We blocked rooms for our OOT guests at the Hampton Inn located in Commack. They were the only hotel in the area that provided a shuttle to and from and reception and we really wanted that for our guests. DH and I were going to stay at the Sheraton, but after seeing how many OOT guests we were having, we decided to stay at the same hotel as well and I am soo glad we did. DH and I checked into the hotel on Thursday and spent the night in a room that DH would be using the night before the wedding. The day before the wedding I checked into our suite. My niece spent the night with me on Friday. Friday night was insane. There were people in and out of my room (with the exception of DH) all night long. It was soo much fun to have everyone there with me. After the reception, when we arrived back at the hotel, we got to the room and there were candles and rose petals ALL over the place. Our BM's wife and my MIL came to the room before us and did that. It was sooo pretty. We ended up finally going to sleep around 3:30 and I was up at 7 a.m. LOL I knew that there were a few OOT guests that were going to be leaving at 8 and I wanted to see them before they left. I went into the lobby and saw a family friend. His face dropped and he was like 'You are the last person I expected to see right now'. I sent my friends on their way and went back to check on DH who was still passed out. We finally got dressed and met everyone in the lobby for breakfast. There were over 30 people there for breakfast and it was soo nice to just talk and visit with everyone, especially since it was really hard to visit at the reception. All of our friends came back to the room with us and packed up everything for us so we could go home. The actually ended up coming back to the house with us and hung out with us all day on Sunday which was great.

We dealt with Susan Ostrowski at Hampton Inn who was a pleasure to work with. She was always available to talk to and always friendly and kind.

At Hotel getting ready.......

NIGHT BEFORE WEDDING DINNER
Nocello Restaurant (10)
East Northport, NY
Since we were getting married at the hall, we decided not to have a rehearsal. We did take our BP and family members out to dinner the Thursday before the wedding so we could give them their gifts. The night before the wedding DH went out to dinner with all the 'guys' and I went out to dinner with all the 'girls'. Since most of us were staying at the hotel in Commack, we decided to go to Nocello. I have never been there before. The food was amazing and everyone enjoyed their meals. Since we were such a large group, the waiter told us that instead of them bringing us out our salads, we could go up to the buffet and get our own. After dinner, someone asked the waiter to take a photo of the table and mentioned that I was getting married the next day. He immediately insisted that we go back to the buffet and get all the dessert we wanted. He also took my meal off of the bill. I thought that was sooo nice of him. I would definitely go back there again!

E-pics (10)
Day of wedding - t/b/d... when proofs come in!
712 East Jericho Turnpike
Huntington Station, NY 11746
Photographers - Alberto/Gio
(631) 673-8783
What else can I say about Duet that has not already been said?? They were great! We had our epics done during Memorial Day weekend. Jay was our photographer for our epics. Our proofs were ready in less than 2 weeks!
Here are a few e-pics...

The day of the wedding they showed up at the hotel at 12:00, just when Marie Katz was arriving to do my makeup. I honestly hardly knew they were there. They were soo quiet and professional. I had Alberto and DH had Gio in his room. DH couldn't say enough good things about Gio.

There was one point where Alberto was taking pics of me on the bed and I looked over at the other guy and his camera wasn't 'snapping' so I said 'Wait a sec.. are you videoing me??!?!?' and he was goes 'Yes'.. I started cracking up! I had NO CLUE he was videoing us. I thought it would make me uneasy, knowing they were taping everything, but I didn't even notice after that.

Our first meeting was at the Hilton. I had one limo bring our BP and DH there and then another limo arrived 15 min later to bring me, my parents, MIL and FIL and my MOH's there. When we arrived everyone was waiting in the lobby. Alberto had DH in a room down the hall sitting in a chair facing the other way. I walked up to him and I could see how nervous he was. They had me walk up from behind him and kiss him on his cheek. He turned around and looked at me and started to cry.. it was sooo beautiful... I then, of course, starting crying too. I am glad we had that time alone to see each other without anyone around.

Gio and Alberto... man oh man these guys were great. They were both up on top of couches and ledges, anything to get a good shot. My guests laughed and called them the 'paparazzi'. They were so great to work with and I can't wait to see my proofs!!! I will edit this post to include
my proofs when they come in.

PHOTO SITE (before ceremony)
Huntington Hilton (10)
598 Broadhollow Road
Melville, NY 11747
(631) 845 1000
After deciding that we wanted to do our pics before the ceremony, we had to find a back up location in case of rain. After having problems finding an indoor location for photos, we chose the Hilton. Even though it didn't rain on our day, we had both limos bring our entire BP and family there to do pics. We were in an executive room which had large doors which opened up to a garden area. It was really pretty. I am glad we chose to have them done there because it had rained the day before the wedding and if we had gone with our original plan, the Arboretum, my dress would have been ruined before the ceremony even started. This way, we were all just relaxing in the room and were able to take turns with everyone doing our pics. There was a fee to use their grounds. If you would like more info feel free to FM me.

DJ/MC
Parties Alive (9)
Richie
250 A Larkfield Road
East Northport, NY 11731
(631) 262-0222
Richie was our MC and I hate to say it but I have no idea what our DJ's name was but he was great. They had our guests dancing the entire night. We also had a percussionist through Parties Alive, who's name was 'Bopa'. HE WAS AMAZING!! Our guests could not get enough of this. He didn't stop all night. Having the percussionist gave it a 'live' feel which is what I wanted. I am not crazy about bands, but I wanted some sort of 'live' music and this was perfect. They even called DH and I up to play the drums which was soo much fun! Also, there was this particular song that DH wanted played and while we were making our must play list I thought to myself 'man no one is going to be able to dance to this song!' but I put it on the list anyways.. Well, when they played it, DH got up there and danced his a$$ off... all alone on the dancefloor!! Everyone was gathered around him and it was amazing!! The only reason I am giving a 9 instead of a 10 is because I would of rather have had them play more dance songs than the slow songs they played. My guests were dancing all night, so I guess it wasn't that bad, but I know there were a few songs I really wanted to hear that I didn't get to hear. Other than that, they were a pleasure to deal with.

FLOWERS
***************** (9)
26 Old Walt Whitman Road
Melville, NY
(631) 424-3377
When I originally heard about *******, it was for dresses. I didn't realize they did flowers too. So I made an appointment to meet with them when I ordered my dress. I am glad I did. Every time I called (and there were A LOT of calls) they were always patient with me and willing to
give me their opinions and offer suggestions. At our final meeting, they brought out my CP and I wasn't 100% impressed with it. I guess I had envisioned the hydrangeas being less PINK... but DH loved them and so did everyone else. They pointed out to me that since my colors were light pink and ivory, this dark pink would really stand out on the tables. Then they came out with my bo-k (which I didn't realize was actually MINE).. my mouth dropped.. it wasn't completed, it was just roses at the time I saw it but it was everything I had ever imagined it looking like, and more. I was sooo happy to see it and thought it looked gorgeous.

The day of the wedding they showed up a little late. I was a little annoyed because the photographers were waiting for the flowers so they could finish up the pics at the hotel. I didn't make an issue of it because we still had some time left. My girls had mauve callas. I loved their bo-ks. I didn't want a lot of different flowers for them. I wanted to keep it simple. I loved the way the mauve looked with their champagne dresses. The CPs looked beautiful on the tables and the flowers for the arch at the ceremony were gorgeous. I am very happy with the way everything turned out.

National Wholesale Florist (10)
AWESOME deal for rose petals. I got 3 HUGE shopping bags filled with petals (all pink) for 20 bucks each. ******* said it would of cost 300 bucks to line the aisle with rose petals. I looked into using National and for 60 bucks I had enough petals for the aisle, CH tables, rose petal cones and more left over for the dais table. I am soo glad I thought of using them. They were great!

LIMO
M&V Limo - 2 (for showing up on time)
I went into this thinking that things with M&V might be ok, boy was I wrong. We originally booked them because they were the only company that had the Caddy DH wanted. It wasn't until after we booked them that I came across all this negative info about them as well as their horrific BBB rating. I was worried about it and didn't want to have to worry about it on my wedding day so we called and cancelled the cars we contracted for and changed it to one 10 passenger Caddy and decided to go with a more reputable company for the Escalade. We didn't want to lose our deposit so we figured we would use it towards a Caddy for our parents and any family members that needed a ride. Considering our contract was for a Caddy, we were shocked to see on our day they showed up with a Lincoln. DH was FURIOUS to say the least and had our BM call M&V to find out what the story was. After calling 5 times without so much as a return call, they gave up, as there was nothing he could do at that time. DH is now in the process of speaking to the owners, etc. I am appalled by such un-professionalism, but not surprised! The one thing I can say is the driver was an absolute sweetheart, but I am sure that was only after our 6'5' BM gave it to him about sending the wrong car. I still cannot even get over the BS stories that I was told when I called the other day to discuss this with the 'manager' there. They basically told me that they had to get this Lincoln from AN OUTSIDE VENDOR because they didn't have any cars left. Umm hello are you kidding me?? You are a limo company, you should have enough cars to cover the amount of events you have scheduled for a particular day. I could see if I booked them with last minute notice, but we booked them NINE MONTHS before the wedding! To them, sending a Lincoln was the same as sending a Caddy and the guy on the phone had the audacity to say to me 'Oh well they look the same from the outside'. He is lucky this conversation was over the phone and not in person because we would have had to continue it in the ER. Considering the fact that on our contract it stated 'Special client, take extra care', because of the discussion I had with them when we originally were going to cancel, I am disgusted that this is the way they would treat a 'special client'. I would not recommend this company to my worst enemy!!

Legend Limousines (10)
1930 Vets Memorial Highway
Islandia, NY 11749
(631) 234-1116 (631) 272-5222 (fax)
We booked Legend after researching M&V and seeing their poor BBB rating and reading horrible LIW reviews about them. We got the 20 passenger Escalade through Legend. They were great! The Escalade arrived on time, it was spotless and the driver was sooo nice. Since we had the truck for 4 hours and only needed it for 3, after we were dropped off at Larkfield, we then had the driver go to the hotel where our OOT guests were staying and pick them up to bring them to the hall. I would definitely recommend them!

Mother Nature - (10!)
Someone was watching down on me and was really good to me on my wedding day! I prayed and prayed for good weather, although all I kept hearing on the weather channel was OPHELIAAAAAAAA.... As I was getting my hair
done the day of the wedding, I walked outside with my MIL and looked up at the cloudy sky and noticed a small little peep of blue. I rolled my eyes and thought to myself 'Yea ok, what time is it supposed to start raining??'. We arrived back at the hotel and I didn't even have time
to look outside until the limo came at 2:15. The sky was looking better, but in my head I kept thinking 'rain, indoor ceremony', etc. I was over it though. To me, I didn't really care, I was getting married and that was all I was focused on. By the time we arrived at the Hilton to
do pics, the sun was beaming and there wasn't a cloud in the sky! I feel as though the minute we arrived there the weather cleared up for us. I was soo happy!! Upon our arrival at Larkfield, we started taking some photos in the front and there were rumbles of thunder. I looked at
my BA's and said to them 'the ceremony is going to be inside isn't it?' and they both looked at me and were like 'Oh no, its outside!!!' They both looked soo positive that the weather was going to be fine. All I kept thinking was, 'Good luck getting everything inside when it starts
pouring!!' LOL The weather held up for the entire ceremony. I was told during the reception that it was pouring out. I couldn't of asked for better weather!

RECEPTION HALL
Larkfield Manor (10)
507 Larkfield Road
East Northport, NY 11731
Lisa, Harry and George
(631) 368-4422
We booked Larkfield in November of 2004, before the new owners, Harry and George took over. After learning about the change, we met with the Banquet Manager, Lisa to go over everything and were soo very pleased at all the changes that were being made to the hall. New carpets, new china, new landscaping, new windows outside, new chandeliers in the lobby.... every time we went there it seemed like new changes were taking place everywhere and it was looking more and more beautiful each time we visited. This made me sooo excited and I couldn't wait to see how the room and hall looked on my wedding day. Lisa was absolutely amazing. She was always willing to meet with us and always had a smile on her face. I can honestly say that I feel she was genuinely happy for us. I know there were a lot of vendors we had to deal with and you can just tell they were just saying things because 'its your day', etc. but Lisa was genuine about everything and she was an absolute sweetheart. Harry and George were amazing to work with as well and we really appreciated everything they did for us.

Day of wedding - When we showed up in the limo many staff members were outside waiting for us. That made us feel so special. We were greeted by Heather and April, the bridal attendants, and Ron, the Maitre'd. The girls immediately asked if we wanted something to drink and if there was anything we needed. Mind you, we hadn't even walked into the hall yet. What a way to start things off. From the time we got there up until the time we were about to leave, one of them were always within an eyes distance from me asking if there was anything I needed. They were absolute dolls!

Everyone that attended our wedding has not stopped talking about it. They all said the CH was amazing. I didn't get to eat much, although DH sure had his fair share of food LOL... Heather and April kept bringing us plates and plates of food. There was one instance when a waitress
came by with some sort of shrimp and DH's face lit up. Ron, the Maitre'd, looked at the waiter after seeing DH's face and told her 'Leave that
platter right here for him' LOL It was soo funny. A few of the CH items that my guests commented to me about where the lamb chops, shrimp, pasta bar and the pig. Everyone LOVED the pig.

During dinner, we were brought a sample of every menu entree. Everything was delicious. Our guests were offered a choice of 6 entrees, and then offered seconds. Everyone really liked that the waiters walked around with platters offering seconds, although most of them told me they were too full from everything at the CH to have seconds on dinner.

During the cake cutting, I looked over and noticed that they were setting something up, but didn't know what it was. Wellllllllll it turns out that they surprised us WITH A CHOCOLATE FOUNTAIN AND CORDIAL BAR!! I was shocked and amazed and what Harry and George did to go above and beyond any expectation I had. I mentioned to Lisa during one of our meetings how much I really wanted one, but I didn't want to spend the $ for it. The fountain was such a hit. Everyone ranted and raved about it. Oh and my cake... LOVED IT.. I gave Lisa a pic of a cake I liked a few weeks before the wedding.. When I walked into the ballroom on my wedding day, that was the same cake I was looking at. It was beautiful!

After the reception, the Heather and April gathered all of our belongings and packed everything up for us. They also sent us on our way with TONS of food to bring home. Since we left for our HM the Monday after the wedding, we gave the food to my parents. They were ecstatic to be able to enjoy the food a second time. All in all, I think they were absolutely amazing!!!!! I am soo happy we chose Larkfield!!

HM - ARUBA
Divi Village Golf and Beach Resort (10)
My parents have a timeshare in the Cayman Islands which we traded in for the Divi Village. We chose Aruba since it is below the hurricane belt and knew we would be guaranteed beautiful weather. Neither of us has ever been there either. I did a lot of research before our trip and
made sure we had dinner reservations at the restaurants that had been recommended to me. A lot of people say that you do not need to rent a car while in Aruba. I disagree, just being that we like to come and go as we please. We rented a car for the week and loved the freedom of
just being able to up and go whenever we wanted. It was great. The last 2 days we rented a Jeep which was soo much fun. We drove into the mountains and to the other side of the island and were able to explore everywhere. We got 'misplaced' a few times but it was soo much fun. The island is absolutely beautiful and the weather was perfect every day. We got the all inclusive package at the resort and were able to eat and drink at all 4 of their resorts. I was really impressed with the food at all of the resorts. We had dinner at the Red Parrot which is located at the Divi All Inclusive and we also ate at Paparazzi located at the Tamarajn. Both restaurants were really good. What we liked about the Divi Village Golf and Beach Resort was that it was located across the
street from the beach and the other resorts were right on the beach. I liked that ours wasn't near the others simply because the other resorts were really loud and always had stuff going on, which was nice to visit, but it was always nice to come back to our resort for peace and quiet
at the end of the day. We went to the lighthouse, Baby Beach, the Natural Bridge and to the caves (although we only stepped a few feet into one of them and left because I felt claustrophobic). Going into town was so much fun, especially at night. The casino in the Renaissance Hotel was gorgeous and the Renaissance Mall was unlike anything I had ever seen. There were waterfalls and pools of water and bridges inside the mall. It was soo pretty. The only bad thing about the stores there is that they tend to close around 6 p.m., and nothing seemed to be open on Sundays. The weather was amazing every day. It rained one morning for about an hour but that was the only rainfall we saw all week.

El Gaucho Restaurant (10!)
OMG .. what can I say, all the girls that recommended El Gaucho were right on the money. It was fantastic! Everything was wonderful from the appetizers, to the main course to dessert. We were stuffed when we
left. After El Gaucho we went across the street to Garufa. It's a cigar lounge that plays live music. It was nice to just sit and relax while
DH smoked a cigar. I would HIGHLY recommend El Gaucho. DH actually wanted to go back there on the way to the airport!! LOL

Flying Fishbone Restaurant (10)
Another amazing restaurant. The view was absolutely incredible. I had seen photos online but seeing it in person was even better. DH was not happy about the fact that we had to walk on the sand and actually sit at tables in the sand, but after arriving there, he changed his mind. It
was breathtaking. The sky was a little cloudy so it wasn't the best sunset we had seen, but it still was beautiful. Our meals were amazing as well. We had a 6:00 reservation because I knew the sun was going to set at 6:30. Great idea because we had the best view. Only downfall,
the day we went there it had rained there all day. By the time the sun went down, there were mosquitoes EVERYWHERE!!! We actually had to leave ¾ of the way through dessert because they were all over the place. While walking out the main entrance, one of the waiters was in the doorway with an aerosol can and a lighter and he was burning them all! It was gross and funny at the same time. If I could go back and do it all
again, I STILL WOULD!

Well, that about sums it up for my 'review'. I can't believe I am actually finally at this stage of the game. I hope this was informative to you all. If you have any questions, please feel free to FM me!

Great, detailed and thorough review...I love that! You looked amazing and it was a pleasure to read that your day was so wonderful as you're deserving of nothing else. I'm sorry to hear about the limo situation and hope you get something in return.
Best wishes to you and Candido!

Long, happy, healthy marriage....filled with blessings!
