Dane Wright Hank Lane Band vs. Sound Image Faze 4 Band - help!

Hi Brides!

So I am recently engaged and trying to get the hang of all of this

Anyway...I'm trying to pick a band ASAP because so many of them are already booked for my July 2012 wedding date. The two I am most interested in are:

Dane Wright from Hank Lane and Sound Image from Faze 4. Anyone have any advice or ideas? Neither of the bands play live and it seems like I won't be able to meet the band members either. It's so hard to judge just based on tapes and audio!

I can't find ANY reviews on Dane Wright. A big difference is that Dane Wright is live music only and Sound Image plays tracks/synthesizers along with the live performance for some of their current music to make it sound more like the recording artists. Thoughts?? Anyone use either band before?

I originally was going with Hank Lane but they were jerking me around. We got very frustrated and ended up walking out. Someone recommended Jerry Kravat bands. They were very reasonable!!!! They were willing to work with us on price. We did much better then we ever would have with Hank Lane and they are a better band. http://www.jerrykravat.com/
We spoke with Jon Simpson. He is amazing and such a nice guy!!! I would highly recommend them. We booked Manhattan Rhythm Machine. We didnt get to hear them live and a lot you cant. We found that very difficult too! Some didnt even want to meet with us - they kept insisting we go to the showcases.

I was debating between the two also and went with faze4 because i felt like i knew who i was getting. I had the chance to see one faze4 band in person (not the one I picked) and they sound exactly like the original singers. I also felt they are more honest/professional. You can see a video of all the faze4 bands unlike hank lane who only shows some random pictures and they have tons of great reviews. I find it very strange that hank lane has no reviews of their individual bands (except the most popular one)...Im pretty sure they just use whoever is available rather than a set band which i was uncomfortable with. Some people trust that they will put together the best people, but I just didnt trust them. I wanted to know who I am getting for that money.

Not sure who Dane Wright is but I know Michael Heart band of Hank Lane is absolutely AMAZING so I dont think you can go wrong with Hank Lane!

We were going to go with Dane Wright/Hank Lane. In the end, we didnt like listening to tracks off of itunes and watching pictures of the band- it wasn't even a video! The person we worked with finally offered to let us meet Dane after several weeks, but it was too late. I know Hank Lane has a grreat reputation, but I really liked seeing my band lve.

We went with Dave Clark and the R E N E G A D E S. They play live about once a month and Dave has been great! He responds to emails very quickly and we loved seeing them live. FM me if you want more info about them.

Thanks everyone for the help and suggestions! Unfortunately, Manhattan Rhythm and the Regenagades are all booked, and so are their sister bands.

I am also going to meet with Manhattan City Music tonight. Not sure how to make the final decision though!

Crashing!

I'm booked with Sound Image, but I'm not married yet...however, communicating with the owner (Bob) of Faze 4 has been great, and I have heard nothing but good things! My brother used True Blue when he got married and they were AMAZING!

Also, Sound Image just put a new video on faze 4's website of them performing new, current songs. They sound great!!!!!!

I booked with The Original Faze 4, however, I was going to book with Sound Image. Working with the company has been a breeze. I'm getting married Sunday, so I can give you more details then!

I think we have decided on Sound Image (Faze 4). I know people who love Hank Lane but I am skeptical about booking a band when I can't even see a video! I also asked if they could email me some of the audio files and I was told no. Hope Sound Image is as good as I think they are!
