One favor per couple: how do you indicate this to the guests?

We are doing wine stopper favors and bought enough for every single guest and one per couple. How do we indicate this to the guests? Cross our fingers and hope they get it?

We are laying the favors out on a table, and not doing placecards. So the placecard idea won't work.

Hand them out at the end of the wedding.

Re: One favor per couple: how do you indicate this to the guests?

I am getting chamagne bottles as favors and I am just going to put them on the table and let the guests figure it out on their own. We as brides have enough to worry about...

Re: One favor per couple: how do you indicate this to the guests?

How do you hand them out at the end? Designate a GM or BM to do it?

I may just hope they get it and carry on with my fun.

OR...can a coordinator do this?

Re: One favor per couple: how do you indicate this to the guests?

I'm doing the same favor and we're just putting them on the table. People will get it, and if not, I'm not really overly concerned. I don't want to give them out at the end because I want to be able to enjoy myself.

I am giving out bottle of wine and putting them out on the tables. I am hoping family and friends will figure it out. For the kids I am personalizing boxes and putting candy in them.

Re: One favor per couple: how do you indicate this to the guests?

Ours will be handed out at the end of the night after cake is served.

Each waitress assigned to a table will have the exact amount of favors to hand out & will hand one to each couple.

One less thing I have to worry about so I can enjoy the night.

Re: One favor per couple: how do you indicate this to the guests?

Thanks Ladies! We're not having assigned seating, or tables for that matter, so we can't predict who will sit where. I think I will leave them out on a table and hope for the best.

Re: One favor per couple: how do you indicate this to the guests?

I thought that people would get the picture by just leaving the favors on the table (one per couple)....well I was wrong. Not only did people take more than one, the people who did not get one complained to me non-stop. I am still hearing about and it has been almost a year. If I had to do it again, I would have done the same thing though...I could not be bothered to hand them out - takes too much time.

Why? I would be annoyed if I went to a wedding and guests were grabbing up the favors and I didn't get a chance to get one...

I firmly believe in favors. You invite someone to a party, they come, you thank them.

Re: One favor per couple: how do you indicate this to the guests?

my mom wants me to hand them out at the end, but I was a ta wedding where I think they attempted to do that ( they were on a table behind the dais) & severla peopel were talking to bride at the same time, so I said a quick good bye & took one from the table.

I'll probbaly do it this way & ask out parnts to help.
If they dont' come up to say goodbye, then they they get one.
I have more than one per couple, but not enough for one per person. I'msure I'll have extras anyway.

I was also at a weddignwhere they put candy on the table put the father of the groom took several & gave them to one of the kids while we were dancing, so there was one on the table for 3 of us.

You would complain to the bride? You wouldn't just drop it and have a good time? Esp to bring it up a year later? I don't go to a wedding expecting a favor, or anything for that matter.

Re: One favor per couple: how do you indicate this to the guests?

I was just going to put the proper amount for each couple on the table, most likely between every two plates... I would hope that most people would realize that it's one per couple.. I will most likely have some extras so if people say they didn't get one I could give them one.. I never thought about this

Re: One favor per couple: how do you indicate this to the guests?

I would use the wine stopper as the place card. Then everyone would understand. You can put mr. & mrs. whatever attachted to the favor. Then you wouldn't have to worry about the single guests getting one and each couple getting one.

I agree with that. If people can't figure it out... *shakes head*.
