Wedding Cake Color Dilemma

Hey,

I was wondering if anybody has any suggestions/pictures of a cake that would go with my color theme. I'm doing what they call a 'peacock' blue (kind of like turquoise or teal) with a really dark eggplant purple, with golds and greens. I'm having a really hard time coming up with any idea of what my cake should look like. The only thing I know is I don't want a white cake.

Any help?

OMG, have you seen the blue/purple/gorgeous orchids??? They seem to be out every time i go into Pedestals, and I always comment on how beautiful they are...and how if those were my colors, i would be using them everywhere!

I think these would look amazing on a gold cake (a cake that almost looks gilded)!!!

LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE them! I couldn't find the exact pic, but those are the ones i was looking for. They *almost* make me want to change colors a month out LOL!

I'll be having some of these as well! Not soo many b/c it's out of our cheap budget lol...but I looove them! I think they would look awesome on a gold cake!

OMG I love these flowers! I'll have to ask my florist if there is any way we can incorporate them into my bo-k without going over budget!!

In reference to my flowers, I just totally forgot that they are dyed - do you think it could really 'leak' bad onto my dress? ACK!! I totally didn't think of that...

I think you'll be OK! I've seen them in bo-k's a few times at Pedestals, and I would think they'd stop doing it if it were an issue. Also, i don't think you'll be rubbing your flowers on your dress.

why dont you do a white cake for a base and then have all those colors like at accents in flowers and lines or somthing.. let me see if I can find a pic

i was going to use those but they were more purple then blue and my colors are blue. but they are beautiful.
