i invited 2 of my partners and the senior managers that i worked the most with and was the friendliest with.

I didn't. I only invited the people at work I knew cared about me. I know she was a little shocked I didn't invite her, but honestly I didn't want her there. I only wanted people who truly meant something to me.

I invited my boss. I have know him since i was a wee little baby. (My dad works for him too.)
But he declined & still gave a very generous gift ...better than some family members. lol
