Update -- DH went to the city clerk's office today and learned that NYC is running a month behind schedule in processing marriage licenses. They said it normally takes 4 weeks, so now it's more like a two month wait. He was able to get a few copies of our license, though. They had to dig it out of the mail and process it while he was there.

Now that he has the processed license, I guess it's my turn to go and start the daunting name change process...
