Originally I was not going to have video at all. Budget was definitely an issue. But then I won a video package from Timeless Treasures and we were thrilled. I know I won't watch it that much, but I'll get to see all that took place during the ceremony while I was 'waiting in the wings' and a lot of other stuff that I probably missed as well. And Timeless Treasures was never 'in my face'. Professional videographers are supposed to know how to capture moments without being totally intrusive.

My video was under $2K. SO GLAD I got it! Our moms actually watch it all the time! We love it!

eta: I thought of it this way. If I had a choice between looking at my mother's wedding photos or seeing her wedding video, which would I pick?

For me, it was hands down, video!

Well....I always thought I'd never watch it, which is the reason we didn't hire a professional. However, one of DH's aunts video'ed the important stuff for us, and I really can't wait to see it. It was such a blurr of a night! We'll see if I regret not hiring a professional after watching the home movie version, because that might do the trick.

We actually didn't want one and budget was a big reason for us. I had asked 2 friends to videotape it for us and I am very happy with my results

I regret it. I always said I'd never get a video because I'd never watch it...and I wish for just one minute I could watch a professional tape of us on our wedding day...I feel like the day flew by me and I probably missed out on so much.

I do have about 20 minutes of raw footage from someone's video camera...but, I wish I had more!!!!!!!!!!!

I didn't have one and I was fine with it. My dad taped our ceremony which made me cry. AN uncle taped some other stuff....

my dad is making a DVD out of his footage and the proofs (they are online) for us to have (someday)

I would try and talk her into at least having a friend videotape it, if she doesn't want the whole hoopla video. My friend didn't have anything and she does regret it. She said to me the other day, 'I should have listened to you'
