Re: How are you deciding when the 'right' time to TTC is?

I think we'll probably be a bit sooner than the 3-4 year mark. He actually wants to wait. But being that we are buying our house now and I have just about 1 - 1 1/2 year to finish my degree (PT --- Ugh), I bet we'll be expecting a little before 3 years.
It's hard though ... when I see a little munchkin, I want one of my own -- but then I think about the life change and then want to wait. Who knows!

Re: How are you deciding when the 'right' time to TTC is?

It is funny that you guys are talking about this.....

Lately I have been thinking about it a lot. The thought of being pregnant and having a baby seems like fun. It is the next big thing that is gonna happen for us (been married over a year now). So we do dream about it---my husband has been pretty against having one until we'd been married at least 2 years....but lately I think he might be thinking about it more seriously. I hate to say it---but it scares the s**t out of me now. It was ok for me to dream b/c I knew he was not close--but now that he seems more open to it I am freaking out!!

I know that I am just not ready yet- I think by the summer time I might be---but who knows....

it just seems so scary.....to have your very own person that completly depends on you!!

Just make sure that both you and you DH are ready for the changes that will come into your life after your baby arrives. Gone are the days of impromptu trips and having one too many glasses of wine. It is a big adjustment, but IMO so worth it. I can hardly wait to be a mom again

I'd like to wait until we at least have a house and enjoy being married with just 'us' for a while.

I plan on waiting 3 or 4 years - if accidents happen, they happen.

It's never the 'perfect' time...but definitely need a house first!!
