I am a triplet and i can't even imagine my mother having more than that!! she was all belly and only 23!! from behind she didn't even look pregnant!!

but, the funny thing is...i am a triplet and my daughters father is a twin, so my little girl has a very high chance of having a multiple birth!! that is my safe sex talk tactic....'be prepared and always be safe, b/c you might have a litter too!!'

I read in Newsday this morning that the father is returning to Iraq as a contractor. It doesn't say they are married.

The mother's father is returning to Iraq as a contractor...not the babies' father.

The mother had in vitro fertilization of 8 eggs. Dr. Tim Johnson on GMA said that the doctors usually only do 3 - 4 eggs.

I'm confused how you are unmarried (to each their own, i'm not knockin, my mom had me out of wedlock) with SIX kids and then you go and have them implant EIGHT embryos --

Why would get slammed..I agree with you! I am all for pro-life and pro-choice or .. whatever makes you happy and whatever your beliefs are if they are similar to the Duggar family... if you plan on bringing a child into this world, you should be able to provide for it.. who knows maybe she has estates and old money waiting for her somewhere..

personally i have seen what twins does to a parent and it is STRESSFUL when they are babies. My niece and nephew were such a handful. I mean you had to change one kid and the other is crawling on the floor so you put them in the crib to keep them safe and then they scream then while your changing the other one they start screaming. When you feed one the other wants to get fed at the same time, I cried when I would babysit at time because I thought I couldn't do anything correct.

Personally if i have to go and get in vetro i would only do 3 eggs because anymore then that I would kill myself.

Right, I honestly don't think I would have so many implanted either. You have to anticpate the likelihood of them all taking. Then what? This was not like she had an unplanned pregnancy.

I dont know much about IVF, but I figred it would not be good for her or all the eggs/babies.

If it was an accident i'd be more understanding, but you ASKED for eight fertilized eggs -- you have six kids, no hubby and you live with your parents....

What I don't understand is why would a young woman with 6 children want to undergo in-vitro.

What doctor would do that ?

I could understand if she couldn't have children naturally or didn't have any previously, but what a heck ?

8 kids is expensive. 8 kids over a lifetime is way more than going to invitro if the first batch of eggs doesnt work!!! I think she is a freak and wanted attention! THERE I SAID IT!!LOL
