So whaddya think of my DIY wedding shadow box?

I'm soooo not crafty. I keep thinking it could be better but whatever. I did get some help (thanks to Diane and my sis Shannon).

So we've got our invitation, our sweetheart table number (which relates Paul O'Neill to the reason we met), our cake topper, and my three garters.

Here it is hanging in our house (notice we have the Derek Jeter table number on our end table.

I got that idea from my ILs- they have the Yogi Berra table number displayed in their house)

Awesome!!!! Why did you choose Paulie?

DH and I met because of a post regarding Paul O'Neill. He was up to bat in the ALDS 2001....and I noticed he had a Bon Jovi song playing. DH saw my post, emailed me and we started chatting baseball...that led to other things of course.

Where did you get that frame? Instructions on how to do it? Looks GREAT!

Where did you get that frame? Instructions on how to do it? Looks GREAT!

Frame is from Michael's - got it during their 50% off frames sale.

As far as instructions, I basically got ideas from youtube. I used tulle as a background. Then I pinned my garters down, used glue dots to adhere my invite and table number....bought artificial flowers from Michael's and put it together to be reminiscent of my bouquet.

HTH!

I can only imagine how amazing it would be if I got it done professionally, and with my bouquet preserved. Wish I had thought of that!

I'm being completely sincere here- I'm so sorry it didn't work out for your Mets this year. They really salvaged their season...I bet you guys never thought you'd see them have a shot at the postseason just a few months ago. What a crappy damper on what should have been a special day.

It was such a let down because we were doing so bad in the beginning... we really fought back. It was ( like always) a nail biting season.

I was offered (FREE) tickets to yesterday's game too!! I turned them down b/c DH & I had too much to do around the apt. I'm sorta glad I wasn't there...
