it's going in a CD for at least 7 months. then we're planning to use it for me to go back to school

90% of it in a 6 month CD, then used the rest to pay some misc bills and brought all the Euro we made to our HM b/c the Euro was much much better than the $ where we went.

put it in a CD. locked it up for 18 months at the highest rate we found; when it matures we (might) use it toward a downpayment

We paid off some things like our bedroom furniture, tv and some credit card debt and then put the rest in savings.

DH and I went on our honeymoon 100% debt free. . the entire wedding and all previous debt was paid off ( besides my student loans ). So every penny that we didn't use for the wedding PLUS every penny of wedding gifts is collecting interest in my ING account waiting for a promising house!

We paid down a bunch of credit cards, did some shopping (Husband bought me a beautiful Gucci watch on our HM and he got some clothes) and paid for some stuff so I can strat grad school in January like the GMAT, apllication fees, etc...

I feel like the $ disappeared way faster than I thought it would.

went right into savings..we don't touch it...its there for emergencies only

we used some for the honeymoon, which wasn't very expensive, and put the rest into our ING account so we can hopefully have enough to move back to NY and buy a house in summer 2010

We used the bulk of it to pay down our home equity line of credit--it helped immensely. I would've loved to have put it in the bank, but DH and I are of the 'Pay down your debt first' school of thought.

We put all of it in a savings account, to replenish what we spent on the wedding

We're planning on using some of it for our delayed honeymoon (in April) and putting the rest in a CD.

We're really excited to use that money for a travel fund. With DH's crazy work hours, we really need our vacation time!
