I really would be and it looks as though it is happening to myself and FH.

Get this-

Fh's next door neighbor is a guy he grew up with , and he is a member of our Bp. This guy's sister is getting married in May. She got engaged in Oct02, we found out in Jan03 by mistake.

Long story short- we are not getting invited to this girl's wedding. Mindyou they have been next door neigbors fro 20 years.

Honestly after spending so much on our wedding last year, I don't mind being left off a few guests list. I would rather spend the money on my house. So when you aren't invited just think of it as money you now have to enjoy doing something with your DH.

if a friend, yes
someone from work I may not care
b/c i think I invited a lot of people I didnt have too
and some people might be having a small affair

I'm with Michele on this one. While my feelings would be hurt, I would try to appreciate not having to spend money on outfits and gifts.

It would bother me. It would not bother FI. When we first got engaged my FIL's put their best friend's son also a friend of fh on our guest list. The son got married in November had over 300 people and only invited fil's. My FI wants to invite the son to ours anyway, to be the better people... but I said no way.

Yes, I guess you are all right about looking on the bright side of not having to put the money out. I do happen to know that it is NOT a small affair. I myself just cant see being at someones wedding and getting married a few months later and not including them. We included a lot of members of this family at my wedding since my mother is friendly with other members and asked me if it would be ok and I agreed and wanted him to be included too. I think his family made up a whole table at my wedding. It just makes me feel very bad that is all. I know my mom and dad will feel bad when they go and realize all the money I put out for this whole family to be at my wedding and they didnt include me and my husband.

I thought I'd be ****ed...until I read Michele's post...
