I'm married!!!! 5/15/04 review... (with pics)

Hello LIW ladies!! I am back a little over a week now and happier then ever! My day was wonderful. I had so much fun and it just couldn't have been better! Below is my review, I hope I don't forget anybody! I'll start in order of who I saw first that day.

Jennifer/Fairytale Makeovers: A++++++ She was fabulous. My hair and make-up came out better then I ever thought it could. She is such a sweetheart too!

Lynbrook Bridal Center: B My dress is beautiful. They however, weren't the greatest. Their customer service was pretty good. They did what I wanted in terms of my alterations. My bustle however is a different story. The first time I went to get my bustle done, the started pinning one way and I didn't like it so, she re-pinned it. When I went back to check it out, they apparantly did the bustle the original way that I didn't want. They had to fix it. So, they did. What I didn't realize is that they never took the strings from the first bustle off. So, when my girls were trying to fix the dress, it was a big mess. They managed to get it up but, it didn't lool so great.

David's Bridal: F----- You can look back at past posts of mine to see all the trouble I had with them. They stink.

Flower after Flower: A++++++ I dealt with Christine there. I highly recommend her. My flowers were absolutely beautiful, exactly what I had imagined!! She is so meticulous and organized. Everything came out just wonderful.

Lavender Bridal Studios (photo): B+ I didn't give them an A because the photographer (Michael) had a bit of an attitude during the day with my family. My father and honorary MOB are both hard of hearing. She has bad eyes and he is blind. He really wasn't very accomodating to them and kept getting annoyed. I am guessing since he had this lack of patience with them, he didn't do a lot of nice poses that I would have liked. I did get my proofs back already and they are beautiful. I was just a little dissapointed because he could have done more and didn't.

Somerset Limos: A+++ My drivers were great. I can't remember their names at the moment. They were very nice to us and took great care of us. The limos were clean and fully stocked. I even got a bigger limo then I was supposed to have for no extra charge.

Wedding Video Image: No rating yet, haven't seen the video. I can say that I didn't not notice them all day but, I know they were there. My aunt had her video camera and said that she knows my video man was all over the place because he kept getting in her way. LOL

All Island Entertainment: C Ok, to be fair, they played good music and had people up dancing all night. The reason for the C, they messed up everything I asked them to do. They didn't make any birthday or anniversary announcements, they only played one song off of my request list, they didn't do the anniversary dance the way I wanted it done, they played one line dance when I had like 5 for them to choose from on the list (our famililes love them), and to top it off, they forgot my give-aways for the dancers. Luckily it was all stuff that nobody else notice but it sure annoyed me (afterwards, I didn't realize it all that day).

Stuart Thomas Manor: A+++++++++++ They are fantastic! The food was amazing. I didn't eat much but I am still hearing about how good it was and how much they had. They went all out. Cocktail hour and dinner. My bridal attendant was terrific. She was constanty after us making sure we had enough food and drinks. I can't say enough about my hall. The room was beautiful. I highly recommend them! They are so accomodating and so nice to work with. They were always there for us when we had questions and concerns. They prices can't be beat either.

All in all, my day wasn't perfect but, I had a great time and was very happy!!

Congratulations Kathy!! You looked absolutely beautiful!! I am so glad the Manor was as great for you as it was for me!! I totally agree with you about Michael. He had an attitude, and I got a little annoyed at that, but I started yelling right back at him and he quit his attitude. Sorry about the DJ, you must have had someone different than I did. Actually, they messed up a couple of things for us too, but nothing noticable and they made good on it. Well, welcome to married life. I'll talk to you soon. Glad you had a great day, even with the little mishaps!!
