I PROMISE...This new Link to proofs really works!!! My Flowerfield Wedding: 12/28/03

Our wedding was amazing, everything we dreamed!

Weather: A++++++++++++++++++++++

It was 53 degrees...for the end of December, that's pretty darn wonderful! Everyone keeps saying that we sure knew someone important to arrange such perfect weather!

Bagpiper: A+ (don't know his name, got him through Infant Jesus Church)

Violin Trio for ceremony: A+.
It was a Violin, Cello and Viola...I don't know their names again, because we got them through our church, They played Cannon in D when I walked down the aisle...and I NEVER CRY...WEll, WATERWORKS!!!! The music was so moving! It really made the ceremony.

Florist: James Cress: B+.
We worked with Gary and the centerpieces came out great. They didn't get an 'A' because they were still putting up the floral wreaths on the church doors at 2:50 pm (ceremony started at 3)...so, when I arrived, the flower guys were still rushing around. I still loved their work, but was a little unhappy that most of my guests were already in the church before the wreaths went on the doors of the church. Oh well...but the flowers were still BEAUTIFUL and Gary was Excellent to work with!

Hair: Denise Venit: A+
I LOVED MY HAIR! It came out even better than the trial! She also did my mother's hair, and it came out beautiful. My mother had no idea how she would wear her hair, and Denise was patient with her, discussing different styles, options, etc.

Make Up: A: Jacqueline Nicole.
Everyone's makeup came out great! The only reason why she didn't get an A+ is because my airbrusing foundation definately wore off half way through our reception...and I was told that the reason why airbrushing is so great is because it doesn't wear off like that. Besides that, everyone loved my make up, including myself, and the next event that I have to go to, I'm definately calling up Jacqueline to do my makeup!

I love my proofs...the only thing is that there are sooooo many, I have no idea where to begin with making an album because I love MOST OF THEM!
They were great, they weren't in your face or anything...of course we had to do some posed pics, but that's really the only time I 'knew' they were there. I'm shocked at all the personal moments they captured on film, the expressions...they really captured love on film!

Just want to say that they were very sweet, and also not in your face...they just blended in with the crowd, except when they took people aside for interviews...but they were wonderful.

Band: New York City Swing: A++++++++++++++++++++++++++

FANTASTIC!!!!! Everyone IS STILL TALKING ABOUT THIS BAND!!!! We had a 12 piece bnad. I've never heard anything like them in my entire life. We had people calling us and leaving messages saying they'd never been to a wedding like ours before, and that the band was beyond amazing!
At one point, one of the the singers was doing a 'James Brown' type dance, jumping and landing in splits on the floor! Then, another band member, Dore DeQuattro, was playing two trumpets at the same time (you may have seen this on TV recently on Celebrity In Style weddings, they were Jamie Lyn Sigler's wedding band as well). They were more than just a band, it was like show! I didn't stop dancing the entire night and the floor was packed with all ages from people in their 20s to 80s!!!!!

Cocktail Hour Music: Janet King Harpist Trio (Harp, Cello, Flute): A
They were great, soothing and soft...not too loud, where you 'notice' them. It's exactly what I wanted, a soft background music so everyone can talk with ease.

Gown: St. Pucchi from Bridal Suite of Manhatten: A+
I had to make some changes from the original design of this gown and I also added a lot more material for the train to make it really long.
The seamstress at Bridal Suite of Manhatten, Julie was absolutely amazing! Meticulous with her work...she would not let me take that gown out of the store until it was absolutely PERFECT! I had 4 fittings, and they were worth it!

Tiara was also from Bridal Suite of Manhatten.

Veil: Denise Leli: C
Customer service was poor, ended up having to pay more money for a veil that she made a mistake on because her supplier was not a nice person to deal with and was going to charge her. It wasn't a lot of money, but I felt I shouldn't have to pay any additional money for someone else's mistake (on her original receipt she wrote down that my dress was white and not diamond white, so I got the wrong color veil, etc. etc.
Also, it took her a few days to return my frantic phone calls and this is with only 2 weeks before the wedding...I'm freaking out because I don't have my veil!
Also, I wasn't happy whatsoever with the clips she attached to the veils, they were those plastic combs, and there were two seperate combs. Bridal Suite of Manhatten recommended that the veils be placed on much higher quality barretts or something other than plastic combs, they also recommended a detachable because TWO combs are very bulky.
Well, I discussed this with Denise, and she said the plastic were fine and bulk would be an issue.

Well, I had major problems with the combs, and had a very difficult time getting both combs to stay and fit in my hair. Shoudl've listened to Bridal Suite.

Flowerfield: A++++++++++++++++++
First I want to talk about my Bridal attendant, Rosemary She was BEYOND EXCELLENT. I never had a half empty glass of anything! She anitcipated every need and was such a doll!

Flowerfield was perfect, everyone went crazy as to the amount of food at the cocktail hour. We extended it so it was 1 hour 30 min. The biggest hit was the seafood, a huge display of Lobster, Alaskan King Crab Claws, Mussels, Shrimp, Little Neck Clams, and Oysters. Everyone's eyes just bulged out of their heads at the sight of all this seafood. Also the lamb chops were a hit (I don't eat that, but everyone else did...they were asking the girls to bring over full trays to their tables)
My BMs who are all from the south thought the cocktail hour was the entire reception because how pretty the room was decorated and because of the amount of food.

The reception/dining room was also amazing. I can't really describe it except to say it was magical!
People keep telling me that it was honestly the best wedding they'd ever been to. The food was absolutely OUTSTANDING, and the service was EXCELLENT. Hardly anyone ever had to get up and go to the bar because their waiters and waitresses would see a half empty glass of something, and just get them a new one immediately! It was WONDERFUL!

Limo: A
New York Style Limo. THey were very sweet, and everything ran very smoothly!
