I got married on May 27th, 2012 and the day could not be more fantastic! I am, still, almost 4 months later floating with happiness :)

Proposal: A++ I could not have asked for a better man or a better way to be asked! We went to Montauk for the year to celebrate our five years. We were down at the beach and he said he had to run up to go to the bathroom. He went to our room for a while, I was surprised he was taking so long..after he came down, it started to rain, he suggested getting dinner and bringing it in instead of eating out..i was disappointed, but i agreed. We went to different restaurants and got an assortment of foods. We brought it to the room..and to my surprise the room was decorated with rose petals, candles, a table cloth, etc. As we ate, he was all sweet..he even had drinks prepared for us :) After dessert, he reached down to go get me another 'drink' and came back up with the ring! PERFECT :)

Liweddings:
This website has been so helpful because of the girls I met! More importantly, the girls I met on this website have been honest, and have helped me to pick out almost all my vendors. The girls on this website have been a support system during a stressful time.

Engagement Party: A++
Elisa’s Ristorante Café: My parents held my family/bridal party engagement party there! Amazing food, great service and great alcohol! Definitely recommend a smaller gathering there! Taste of Home did their cake and it tasted amazing! We got the invites from Michaels and made them on the computer: Cheap! Easy! Fast and so many compliments! Favors: They did customized M&Ms..delicious, in cute boxes from Michaels!Oberles (East Meadow Flower Shop) for flowers: amazing quality and so pretty!









Bachelorette Party: A+++++
We went to AC for the night..Borgota. It was a lot of fun, we shared two rooms. Got there had some drinks, had lunch, played games, they decorated the room for me, we got ready, went for dinner--DELICIOUS, went to the club, went gambling..soo much fun with the girls! Couldnt have asked for a better time!









Shower: A+++++
My mom and moh did an amazing job. I knew that it was the day it was, as it got closer, however, I had no idea how amazing it would be.
It was at Lawson's Pub, delicious! My moh made games and gave everyone nail polishes and cute pocketbook mirrors as prizes! She got bracelets made as a favor gift for everyone! I got so many presents and had such a great time!














Rehearsal Dinner: A+++++
My mil and fil planned this along with my sil. We had it at Cafe Formagio! Delicious food. It was just for parents and bp so it was very low key, but the perfect way to all be together the night before! They did a wonderful job planning it and the staff was amazing!



Wedding:
Magnet Queen: A++! Amazing is all I can say! I used them to order my save the date magnets. I was in contact with them for a while before I actually ordered via email in order to decide what I wanted. They helped me create my vision (a movie theatre Save the Date) with my beach engagement pictures. They even sent me a free gift of a picture magnet for my refrigerator! By accident, I was sent a few short and when I emailed them they re-sent me a whole bunch more just to make sure I had enough! Definitely recommend them! Everyone is still complimenting them to this day!

Invites by Merna: A+! She worked out of her house. She did an amazing job with our invites and really took the time to sit down with us and work out the details we wanted on our invites. She changed the proof around after she emailed it and we werent in love with the initial proof.



Larkfield Manor: A+++++
Before the wedding: They were amazing! I worked with Peter, from the minute we walked in the place; I fell in love with the customer service and the place! This was our like thirty place visiting and I was just done with the search. That was the last one I was looking at that weekend, and then waiting a few months to continue the search…I didn’t even want to go there, DH insisted..and I fell in love! I loved their gazebo, their small garden area and our room! The price, you couldn’t beat! The tasting, incredible and plentiful! Peter answered my hundreds of emails within seconds, he also emailed me a few times throughout to see how everything was doing.
Night of the wedding: They went above and beyond my expectation! Everything was absolutely perfect. Everything I asked for or stated that I wanted, was there. The food was incredible! Everyone compliments the place to this day! They were so on top of everything! I cant wait to have another event there!

Thomas Paul: A+++++
Before the wedding: AMAZING! Tom goes out of his way to make you feel special. He worked within our budget for video and photography! He calls throughout your engagement to make sure everything is going well. He answers emails within minutes. I had a slight problem with my engagement picture appointment, and Tom fixed it within one phone call, within 5 minutes of me freaking out! I loved my engagement pictures done by Brian!
Night of the wedding: I was a little nervous because of mixed reviews but I have to tell you his work and service was AMAZING! He truly was patient and understanding with every family member. He took every request, even when he wasn’t thrilled. He did everything I asked for and more. My pro pictures are AMAZING and I couldn’t have asked for better quality—I cant stop starring at them to this day! EVERYONE loves them and can’t stop talking about how amazing the quality is (only sad thing is, there are no cocktail hour pictures—but Im sure the video captures that)! I can’t wait to see my video and album! Tom, Lisa and Mike were wonderful! Ill post an updated review after I get my video :)

North Port Harbor: A+++++ for scenery! We couldnt decide where to go for pictures before hand. We really did not want to spend the money for Vanderbuilt even though its gorgeous there. So we crossed our fingers for sun and picked Northport Harbor. My pics came out amazing there..there is a bit of water, bit of grass and a bit of town..who could ask for more!















Tran Star Exec: A+++
Mary is so sweet! The prices are awesome! We got a 10-person limo for the BP and me to go to the picture place and then for the men and us to go to RH! Then we got a limo bus for our guests from hotel to RH! Our friends loved the limo bus and the driver even played our montage for us. They were early, which was wonderful! They got us to our destination, no problems at all! I would definitely recommend them to anyone! Only problem is, no air conditioning in the limo bus, it was very hot!

Variety: A+++++
Before the wedding: I saw them at a Showcase and loved Ray’s style! I decided I needed to meet with him. I met with him and we instantly clicked! He worked with us to figure out a budget that would best suit us!
Night of the wedding: He went above and beyond my expectation. He had everyone on the dance floor all night long. He had a centerpiece game planned and had ways to get friends, family and bridal party on the floor all night. Me and FIL worked together with SIL to create a surprise interruption of the mother son dance, Ray helped us do that! I had a surprise groom's cake--mets and Ray on his own came up with the idea to do the METS theme song after the cake cutting in order to show off the mets cake. Tom was amazing at answering emails and I couldn’t have asked for a better team that night!

Burton’s: A+++++
Great Prices! I worked with John the first time I walked in there. Couldn’t beat their prices and he was very helpful in helping me decide what types of centerpieces to get.
I was nervous about my final appointment cause I had no idea what I wanted and heard mixed reviews on them. John helped me within a half hour put everything together just by me saying I wanted a pop of color and showing him the bm dress sample!
Night of wedding: I was so nervous because so many people had mixed reviews. My flowers were beyond amazing---every aspect of them. Everyone complimented them, the colors and combinations of flowers were breathtaking. The huppah was gorgeous and had so many flowers on it..which they then set up at our sweetheart table. He threw in flowers for the cake table. The delivery was early. EVERYTHING was spectacular! I had low centerpieces too that were gorgeous, but no photos of them :(











Lillette’s: A+++++
I am very indecisive and therefore, picking out a dress I thought would be my worse nightmare. I had gone to a few places and found nothing I loved. Pat from Lillette’s worked with me and was more patient than ANYONE I have ever met. THE dress winded up being the last one that she showed me that day and I instantly fell in love with it. My dress was beautiful and I received so many compliments on it! I bought my veil there as well and it was PERFECT fit with the dress.
We received the BM dresses there. One of my bms had a difficult time there because she was out of state and tried giving them her measurements. They gave us a hard time with that..but in the end it worked out and was PERFECT. I would def. recommend them :)









Esquire: A+++++
Lillette's recommended them to me, and I am so glad they did. The man we met with was so nice and very patient in helping us pick out a tie that would make the bm dresses. I wasnt sure what kind of vest we wanted and he really helped us. The prices were reasonable and the whole process was a breeze!





MUA: Claudia (SMASHBOX)--A+++++. The road to find a makeup artist was pretty hard for me. I thought i knew all along who i was going to use but her sister had her shower the day of my wedding, so she obv couldnt be available. I tried another girl, who did not show up three times, then was not in love with the other two..until I met Claudia. Shes sooo sweet, amazing at what she did, and worked with me to lower the price so the BMS could afford it! She did an amazing job during my trial and the day of the wedding! Id recommend her to everyone!



Hair: Mindy A+++++ She is my normal hair dresser, and im in love with the way she does my hair so it just made sense. She worked with us to come to my house, which originally she didnt want to do. She was patient and figured out exactly what I wanted. We did a trial before the wedding, then a few days before played around again. She worked with everyone to make sure everyone had a style they loved. She is DEFINITELY amazing!





Barons: A+ Headpiece! I loved my headpiece! They were patient and helped me pick out exactly what I wanted :)



Lets Dance Garters-i got an amazing deal on black friday for two mets garters!



Channa Plaque: A+++++
I knew I wanted one but had no idea which one to get. We went back and forth about 30 times, she was always patient! She is amazing to work with. The first time I received it, there was a chip in the top..no big deal at all. I wrote to her just to let her know, she said no problem and sent me a new one! AMAZING to work with!



Craft Shoes:A+
I first found shoes that I loved in Nordstroms, however, they winded up being shipped to me dirty..GROSS and then they didn’t have any more pairs and it would be months. Someone on liweddings suggested I go to craft shoes. The employees were very helpful in helping me find a comfortable pair. Great prices!

Star Track Inc: A++
I went there for summer themed OOT bags and things to go with it. I got the bags there, flip flop lollipops to go inside, and movie theatre picture framed key chains! I also got a movie theatre clapboard picture frame for the favor table. They were very helpful there! Its like oriental trading, but a store you can walk into! DEF. recommend going there :)

Favors: Wine bottles! A+++++ Trader Joes..Could not beat the price at all! We went in the city, picked up each three buck chuck..tried them then called and ordered what we needed, went back at picked them up. Hassle free and everyone loved them! We made our own labels and put them on top of their labels!





Wingate at Wyndham: started off with a A+..ended with a generous B-/C
I originally started to work with someone who winded up leaving so someone else took over. I was nervous, but when we went to visit he assured me he would keep anything she already agreed to! We clicked with him and blocked the rooms. The suite is great! The prices were great for memorial day weekend! Our communication was a bit complicated throughout but I figured it was just because of my intensity (i emailed a lot in order to make sure things were perfect). I felt much better the last time we met with him right before the wedding. We dropped off our OOT bags and TONS AND TONS of stuff we bought for the after party. We told him EXACTLY how we wanted it set up. WELL...the night of the after party, we went downstairs and NOTHING was set up. when dh told me i thought it was a joke. When i spoke to the customer service person they called him right away and said it was a confusion because the guy who was suppose to set it up called in sick. however, no one offered to help me set it up..but mine and dh's friends. The breakfast the next morning was okay..we had a separate room (which generously the guy threw in weeks before) but...the staff never came down to re-fill coffee or anything. The next day, when we got home, the man did write to me apologizing for the confusion and said he did not charge us for the after party room..which was him doing the right thing, and very nice. However, i felt uneasy after because rooms were not together as they said they were going to try so hard to do, the breakfast was just okay and the after party was a disaster (which winded up being fun after we ran around setting it up).

Rabbi Marci Bellows: A+++++ she's incredible to work with! We worked with her on marriage like classes, they helped a lot during a stressful time! She was amazing at the ceremony..she really made me cry during the ceremony..i loved her and her ceremony! Everyone says how wonderful the ceremony was because of her!









DIY Projects:
One weekend, my roommate (a BM) came to visit and we decided to make my cardbox and martini glass creations!
Cardbox: Pretty easy to make and I LOVE how it came out. Best part of it was I was able to make it exactly how I wanted it! ? Please let me know if you have any questions about how to make this :)





Martini Glass Creations: A few co workers got me martini glasses (assorted shapes and sizes) to use as decorations. I had no idea what to do with them but after talking to LIWedding girls and my BM we decided to use them for the CH bar, RH bar and past wedding table..I loved how they came out in the end..I love that I could use this as an extra touch!




Petal cones: Very simple to make – I bought purple petals from Wrap with us and put them inside! Only problem was, no one knew to throw them, only one person threw them after TP told everyone to.

Vista Print- A+++++ Became my best friend during wedding planning—I never used it before that! I stalked the site for free deals!
OOT welcome letters: So simple to make! Used an oversized post card! Free plus shipping!
OOT Door hangers: Very Simple to Make! Free plus shipping! All I had to do was get a hole puncher and punch holes in the top!
BM/GM thank you notes: Used one of their patterns! 20 of them were free all I had to pay for was shipping! I then wrote a note in each one by hand to add to the presents!
Extra Hotel Accommodations Business Card: I made a little business card giving the hotel guys info in case they were staying Fri. and Sat in addition to Sunday. All I had to pay was shipping and I added it to his hotel cards!



GIFTS FOR BRIDAL PARTY/PARENTS A+++++
Lets Bag It: BM bags—I have shopped at Lets Bag it/Lets Accessorize since I’ve been 16! I love the store! She ordered me customized bags with their names on them! I love how they came out!

Thank you Parasol. I would not have originally gotten this but I won it on an online contest! Beautiful..customized it for me and came quickly!
I then ordered BM wine classes from her, gm beer pilsners and parent glasses..customized them! They came out sooo great! Got them on sale (Black Friday Sale)! Amazing deal and amazing glasses!

My Custom Wedding Shoppe: A+++++ I won escort cards during a raffle..however, since i didnt need them she worked with me. I worked with her for calligraphy on invite envelopes as well as table numbers, they came out gorg! She was wonderful to work with!

Programs by a BM's step mom: I did fan programs! They were wonderful and a great way to kick off summer!



Turkans (Rings)- A+++++
I go to the same jewelry place for everything in Tri County however, they wanted to cost an arm and a leg for the rings we wanted and we simply couldn't do it..so someone recommended them. Im so glad I went cause the same rings were a lot less. They were great to work with!!



Black Forest Bakery: A+++++
They were the baker for Larkfield! They had great cakes--i brought in a picture and they customized our cake for us. It was completely included. I then went back to get the Grooms Cake from there..everyone complimented it all night! There customer service was good as well :)








Honeymoon: Sandals Grande Antigua: A+++++
AMAZING! BEAUTIFUL and RELAXING!








Back story on honeymoon however, the last day of our vacation there was a Tropical Storm warning (yes we went in August).
American Airlines: F! cancelled our flight. when we called them they told us the next flight out of antigua was going to be 6 days later (doubling our trip)! They told us there was nothing they can do for us at all! People who were suppose to be on our flight got our earlier then the representatives said that it was all luck. we then winded up getting another flight out like 3 days letter, to which was AGAIN cancelled..we fought with the airlines, winded up flying into San Juan then booked our own flight through Jet Blue to get back home...the trip was a lot more money than intended...yes, i do understand, we went during tropical storm season...that there was a warning..HOWEVER, their customer service was awful. i would not recommend them to anyone!
We did wind up flying Jet Blue home and they were AWESOME!
