Mini Review 4/29 Royal Wedding JT, Patken, Flowers By Brian, Satisfaction Guaranteed DJ, Camelot, A Modern Day Affair, Mya Cosmetic Artistry, Sandra Baldini

BEST DAY OF MY LIFE!!!! It was such a party, and I've had vendors tell me it was one of the best parties they've ever seen. I truly lived and breathed this wedding and it all came together beautifully and perfectly (not that I'm tooting my own horn lol), but I did work hard, along with my fam, and it all came together exactly as how I envisioned it. I have pictures in my album and there are plenty pics and video on facebook tagged Agnes Piwowar Clark

Thank you lovely ladies of Long Island Weddings for all your advice and help in planning. I can't believe it's been over a year and nine months when I first joined and began to plan, and how quickly it went and is over. Girls enjoy every single minute...or shall I say second of your planning process and your wedding day...it goes by so quickly.

Jericho Terrace: A++++++++++++++++. No complaints. Walter our Maitre D' was amazing, and now he's my Facebook friend haha. Service was amazing. Food and drinks were amazing. Dome Room was amazing...haha see a pattern. JT was amazing from our first meeting. Closer to the wedding they obliged to every crazy request we had, from pierogis to Polish beer to bottles of Ciroc Coconut, it was never a problem and they made it happen!! When we came to drop off a crazy amount of favors, to go dessert boxes, accessories, flip flop baskets, huge table number picture frames, it was never a problem! During the reception, Walter was awesome as was our waiter Steve. Our two Bridal Attendants were awesome at the beginning and I continued to see one of them throughout the entire night. However, I saw less and less of them throughout the night, and one of them I didn't see altogether. I'll be honest if it weren't for Laura and Shauna from Modern Day Affair, I would have felt somewhat neglected. But then again maybe this was why the bridal attendants took a step back, because they saw that Laura and Shauna had things under control. Dome Room is spectacularly beautiful and the uplighting really makes the room look even better. Food was out of this world, and hot even after it was sitting on my table for a good ten minutes!! IMPRESSIVE! Viennesse hour was a blast!

Satisfaction Guaranteed DJ's- A+++++++++++++++++ Jack (MC) and his crew were AMAZING! This was a vendor we knew we wanted from the beginning and if you were at our wedding you would understand why. They totally got our crowd, and our dance floor was PACKED the entire night! It looked like a dance club..haha!! At our last meeting I told Jack 'I want a party, picture a mix of the Hamptons with the Jersy Shore, I want people pumpin around' lmaooo, and his crew did amazing! Jack was like family and he totally nailed my vision. The ZAP shot photog got some great shots and they went right on to the two plasma screens! It was awesome!

Flowers By Brian: A+++++++. They showed me a sample before I booked, and again mid process to make the changes I had requested from the first sample. I got to see my bouquets the day before the wedding! My bouquet, bm's bouquets, and centerpieces were beautiful, and exactly as I had envisioned. My bouquet was huge!!! =) LOOOOVED IT. No complaints here, other than the water in the centerpieces was supposed to be pink but was delivered white. Not a problem for Laura and Shauna who called FBB and fixed the problem by pouring grenadine into each vase! Flowers were pretty much dying by the next day, and my bouquet was falling by the end of the night. The only issue I had with them was over my final balance, but this was resolved with a couple of phone calls and FBB was gracious enough to honor my word.

PATKEN Photographer and Video (John and Frank): Another A+++++++++++++++++++++++++++. John was sooo nice and did not overwhelm us with pictures, but did get all the shots I wanted very efficiently. Once the reception started, he was totally unobtrusive and took mostly candids. I thought this was great because I got to enjoy myself and did not feel like we were being pulled to pose every two seconds. Frank the videographer was also great. Didn't even know he was there. I did hear after the fact that before I arrived at the church Frank dropped his video camera and it shattered. Thank God he had a backup with him. Can't wait to get my proofs and video!

Camelot Limo: A++++++ They were on time (or even early) with our Infinity SUV. The boys had a smooth ride to the church as did we once the limo came to pick us up after dropping off the boys. The driver was super nice and friendly. He rolled out the runner and was very helpful. However, at one point after the Mass the boys went to sit in the car while Shawn and I and families took pics outside of the church. It was at this time (or when the boys came out of the car sweaty) that our driver discovered that the AC was not working and neither was the radio. The driver was able to get the AC to work again, after spending about 20 minutes working under the hood (which you can see in the background of some of my pictures grrrr). However, the radio was unfixable although our driver as well as my husband tried. We ended up listening to music off my bridesmaid's cell phone APP which was disappointing especially to my husband who said the car had a great working system when they were driving to the church. The driver told us that the radio was damaged by some kids who had kicked it in during a prom party...ummmmm shouldn't this have been taken care of before our wedding. Anywho, really not a big deal and we continued on. Our driver was curteous enough to stop by a liquor store after the boys drank our bottle of Cherry whipped lol! A Navigator picked us up at the end of the night, and the driver was again super nice and helpful.

Church: St. Francis Of Assisi: A+++++++++++++ My home parish, I think it's beautiful. Love them. Deacon Sal is the best. They were easy to work with and very helpful.

Hair: Mya Cosmetic Artistry: A++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ LOOOOOOOVE her. She made me look AMAZING, and I absolutely loved my hair, and she was soooooo sweet. I felt bad because she got lost coming to Queens but even with that she was on time and the first one to arrive. She did my hair and my bm's and everyone looked drop dead GORGeOUS!!! My curls held the whole night and she even clipped in extensions for me and one of my bm's.

Makeup: Sandra Baldini A++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Another one I love. She's such a nice person and definitely knows her stuff. Sandra brought her sister to help and again all my girls looked STUNNING!! I absolutely loved my makeup and it lasted all night. Both Sandra and Mya made me feel beautiful on my wedding day and I will forever be grateful to them for making me feel so beautiful! I had airbrush my girls and mom had regular makeup and everyone still looked amazing by the end of the night.

PartyBooths: A+++++++++++++++++ Best money spent. There was a line the whole night and judging by the pictures everyone had a blast taking pictures. The attendants were super nice and efficient and our scrapbook is hliarious....awesome idea for a guest book.

and last but oh so definitely not least Day of Coordinators: A Modern Day Affair (Laura and Shauna) A++++++++++++++++++++++++++++(and the pluses go on and on) First and foremost I'm really not a high maintenance kind of person, I booked AMDA as a way to ensure that I enjoy my wedding day. However, these girls ensured that and soooo much more. From decorating the church, to tying 175 chair sashes at JT, to making sure I had a drink in my hand the entire night, to holding my dress, giving me a trick to peeing with a wedding gown on, steaming my dress when we took it out of the bag and it was wrinkled, to giving me reassuring words and calming me down when I started to freak out a bit at the church, to pinning flowers on all the guys, checking us into our hotel and leaving a heartfelt card and bottle of champagne, pouring grenadine into vases to make the color pink, knowing I didn't want flowers on my cake and taking them off, making sure we were on schedule, haha Shauna sticking her hands up my dress to fix the boning in my corset (we got up close and personal haha), bustling my dress, and most importantly shoving my back fat back into the dress (LMAOOOO), these girls were my angels. Even in a day where there were only minor mishaps these girls made my day a bazillion times easier and I was able to enjoy myself with zero worries. By the end of the night they were like long time friends, and I cannot thank them enough for keeping me calm, fixing all the mishaps, and being there for me. I swear the second my drink was low I turned around and there was Laura or Shauna with another one! When the girls noticed that my bridal attendants weren't as attentive as they should have been they volunteered to stay until the end even though they were supposed to stay only until 1230. They ended up leaving at like 130. I cannot say enough about these girls. If you book a DOC, please go with them!!!

DOJ: Adorn. Amazing beautiful earring and smooth transaction. However, I had a little scare when returning them as UPS never scanned the package and so Adorn was calling me and basically threatening me with late fees even after I told them I dropped the package off. Anywho, the package arrived a day late back to them but thank Goodness it arrived and I was not charged the late fee. Earrings look gorgeous in the pictures.

To Go Dessert Boxes: online
Flip Flop Baskets: Old Navy
BM Dresses: Alexandria's Forest Hills A
Mom's Dress- Estelle's
Guy's Tuxes: Tuxedo Park A+++++++++++
Wedding Bubbles: Dollar Tree
Stationary; Tessa E V E N S T A R P A P E R I E A+++++++++++++++
Favors: Pink by Yellowglen champage (sooo cute)
Card Box: For the Modern Bride A+++++++++++++++++

Invitations: TESSA E V E N S T A R P A P E R I E. A++++++++++++++++++++ My invitations were beautiful with all the stationary to match, including signs, favor tags, stickers, and they were all STUNNING! Communication with Tessa was awesome, and she printed all the invitations in a timely manner. She was sooooo easy to work with, and everything turned out beautiful. When it came to the stationary, Tessa said she would do it all in one day but was not able to do so. I did not complain but sent her a couple of emails just to check on the progress because my wedding was in like 7 days. She overnighted everything and comped it. Loooooove her!

Dress: Maggie Sottero Helens; A++++++++++ Great service great alterations. Lolita in sales and Christina in alterations were awesome, and again were like family. They know what they're doing there! I loved my gown and felt beautiful in ti!

Bridesmaid Dresses: A+++++++ The name of the store escapes me but it's in Queens on Austin Street in Forest Hills. lol They were great as well! dresses were beautiful affordable and came in on time. However, I think they measured some girls as too big because their dresses needed a lot of alterations. The store doesn't do alterations on premise.

I think that's it for now.......Let me know if anyone has any questions!!
Can't believe it's over, I'm not going to lie it's a bit depressing!

Re: Mini Review 4/29 Royal Wedding JT, Patken, Flowers By Brian, Satisfaction Guaranteed DJ, Camelot, A Modern Day Affair, Mya Cosmetic Artistry, Sandra Baldini

Thanks for an amazing review! I am getting married at JT next year so I found this very helpful. Question for Camelot did you tip both of your drivers? Also did you tip your bridal attendants who weren't really there?

Yes we tipped everyone...The limo driver we gave 20 percent, and the driver at the end of the night we gave 20 dollars or something like that.

We didn't gip the Bridal Attendants either. We gave them 100 each and then gave our DOC's extra.

Congratulations on your wedding. If you don't mind me asking what were the rates for hair and makeup? As well as the DOC?
