My 1/4/03 Wedding Review!!!!!

My day was so perfect!!! The only 2 flaws were the weather, but as we were saying our vows the sun broke thru and shined on us thru the stained glass windows! I took it as a sign and one of our groomsmen got stuck in the snow up in Boston and couldn't make it to the airport, so my BIL(my sis's DH) bucked up and ran to the tuxedo shop and turned instantly into a groomsmen. We were glad because my DH(I can call him that now) wanted to ask him but we already had so many people so everyone was happy all around! I also wasn't nervous at all the whole morning right until I was waiting to walk down the aisle my dad was telling me to breathe and I was like I'm gonna pass out! But as soon as I looked into Steve's eyes I was fine!! I can't believe it is all over I must say that everyone said it would fly by but it didn't feel that way to me. I made sure to enjoy every moment! OK so here is my review!

Day before: Lazy Day Spa in Center Moriches

I had a manicure and pedicure followed by a full body massage! It was incredible everyone should do this for some relaxation before the big day!

Hair and Make-up: Linda & Shannon

They both came to my house and did myself and my bridesmaids! Everything was perfect and my make-up stayed on all day and night!

Dress: The Wedding Center of Commack

I loved the shopping experience there and you can not beat the prices, BUT no one ever told me that the alteration department closes down for 2 weeks right before Christmas. They new the date of my wedding but I was NEVER told! So that pi**ed me off. Also some of my girls alterations weren't that great! My FG mother had to fight with the woman to have her lift up the hem and her dress! It took my 2 yr old FG to fall in front of her to finally get her to do it! My straps fell down a lot during the night too! So if you decide to use them for alterations just stay on top of them!!!!

Flowers: Malkmes Florist (Port Jefferson)

I loved my flowers!!!!!!! They came out awesome!!! I had white, pale pink, and lavender roses with caspia for my bo-k and pale pink and lavender for my girls! Steve also sent me a dozen roses to my parents house that matched by bo-k!!!

DJ: Get in Tune

Glen was awesome he had the entire dance floor dancing all night!!! He played all the songs we requested and even let Steve have the microphone which he used to sing every word to paradise by the dashboard light!!! This was so funny!! He didn't miss one word including the baseball commentery!!!! I highly recommend GIT!!!!!!

Steve was awesome!!!!! He was the best!!!!! I know that we don't have our pics yet but I don't have a doubt in my mind that they will be fabulous!!!! I highly recommend Steve he will definately be a brides best friend!!!! He even brought the guys flowers to the church for me!!!!

Limo's: Coachman

We got a limo bus!!! I think that they sent us a bigger one than the one we had ordered which was great!!! Alan was so helpful! My only complaint was that the driver had to ask us for directions to the Holtsville Ecology Center, which I feel he should have researched himself and he never came into the church to help me before I walked down the aisle! My friends husband had to poof out my train, which was cathedral length! I had been told that the limo driver usually does this!

Reception: The Meadowclub of Port Jefferson

They were amazing!!!! From start to finish I have not one complaint!!!! The food was fabulous, the staff amazing, my bridal attendant was so great!!! I didn't have to ask for anything!!! She was so one top of everything!!! The decorations were up from Christmas so the place looked breathtaking! The guys were happy because we had a TV in the bridal suite and got to watch the Jets give an as*whooping so the guys were all happy!!! They even let us come in an hour before to do family pictures!!! (that also had a lot to do with our photographer as his wife works there!) I highly recommend them! They were awesome!!!!!

Honeymoon: Fantasy Travel in Miller Place

Joe was great!!! He got us a great deal and then kept calling back to let us know he got us an even lower price!!! I would definately recommend him for all sorts of travel!!!! I let you know about the actual honeymoon when we get back! We leave tomorrow for Jamaica!!!

So as you can read we had a great day!!!!!!

Glad everything was great. The weather is something we have no control of but I'm glad you were able to replace the guy who couldn't make it.
Next we will want to see some pictures when you get them.

CONGRATS!! Wow you're good girl-a review already! Glad to hear it was an awesome day! You deserve it! I actually thought of you when FH and I were driving on Northern State and the snow was just enough to stick to the trees and it was sooo beautiful! I thought 'What a beautiful scene for a wedding!' I was hoping it would stop though so it wouldn't cause a problem!! Have a great HM!

Video: thru GIT

This was the one area I didn't research and am upset I didn't find out about Wild Rose before I booked. BUT everyone said the guy got every single moment on tape. So we shall see when I get the video!

Tuxes: Rodgers Tuxedos in Centereach

One word FABULOUS!!!!! They had to special order a vest at the last minute and had it overnighted.(one of the groomsmen had a little too much holiday yummys and messed up on his measurements ) They also rushed my BIL in 2 hours before the wedding and got him fitted and out the door and he even made it to the BM house so he could ride in the limo with the guys(he was going to meet them at the church) I HIGHLY recommend them. Ask for Theresa she is the BEST!!!!!!

My sister got us a room here and it was gorgeous!!!
The only complaint was there was NO heat It was 2 o'clock in the morning so I didn't want to have to move to another room or have someone come in(I was already in the wedding night lingerie ) So I found extra blankets and we found ways to keep warm We went to the breakfast buffet in the morning and the food was delcious!!!! The staff was great too!!!
