My 8/10 wedding review (long)...
I am a Mrs. now, I can't belive it. My day was wondeful, but went way too fast.Here is my review...
Port Jefferson CC - A+
The place was beautiful and the rain held out just for me. We had pictures outside and had the ceremony outside under the gazebo. Everyone said it was the most beautiful spot they have ever seen. I was a little upset at first with the matre de, he told my husband he would make the decision about the weather and the ceremony outside, but the story changed when I approached him and let him know that I would make the decision. I decided outside and then they decided to do the cocktail hour inside, which was the best in the long run, due to the humidity. I never had a bridal assistant, so had a hard time fixing things for myself and knowing what to do when. The bridal suite was small and they didn't bring us much (I guess because I didn't have an attendent), but we didn't stay in there long at all. Besides all the little stuff, it was great and glad I chose such an elegant location.
Rabbi - Rabbi Marcia Rappaport
A++
People are still talking about how wondeful she was. It was an interfaith marriage and she tied it together so nicely. She was funny, but professional. She has a beautiful voice and really got into it. People from both sides of the family said she did a beautiful job and they have never been to a better interfaith ceremony.
Band - Marvin Austin (Steven Scott)
A+++
They were amazing! They were professional, elegant and had to party dancing the whole time.
Photography - Visual Concepts
A+++
Bob and Debbie were wonderful people to work with. They were calm (even when it started to rain and I began to freak) and did a great job. I can't wait to see my pictures.
Video - Candlelite Video
A+
They were unobtrusive and looked like they were there for all the fun shots. I was to have two cameras at the ceremony and one at the reception. I only was one the whole day, but who knows another could have been there for the ceremony. I will call them and ask. I am looking forward to seeing my video, as the day went way too fast and I don't remember it all.
Florist - Commack Florist
A+++
The owner is an old friend of mine and they went above and beyond with our flowers. They were on time with everything and it was beautiful. We had high centerpieces and simple, but elegant bouquets. Everything was exactly what I asked for and I was extremly happy with them.
Hair - Dawn for Joseph Kent salon
A+++
My hair was breathtaking. My husband and my friends and family loved it. I have very curly hair and it was a humid day. I was so pleased that it stayed all day and she did a WONDERFUL job!!
Bridal Party hair - Connie
A+++
She was recommended through a friend and did my three niece's hair, my sister's and my mom's. She was there bright and early and was very professional and pleasant to work with. They all looked wondeful.
Make-up - My friend Christine
A+++
I never wear make-up so I had been for a few trails and hated them. I was very upset, so Christine to the rescue. She did my make=up and it looked so natural and it was me. That is what I wanted. Thanks to a wonderful friend.
Limo - LLParadise Limo
A++
The owner of the company is a parent of a little boy in my class. He was great. The limo was early and made a few runs to get some more family members. When we walked out of the hotel, there were fire truck everywhere (could you imagine) and he had to park across the street. He was me come out and walked right over and attended to me. They are a small company, but the limo was clean, on time and professional.
Rehersal Dinner and hotel for out of town guests and Wedding Night Hotel - Danford's on the Sound

The dinner was great! There were a few problems with some rooms. They gave my grandmothers room away before we got there, so she had to be across the street in another building. The night before the wedding it poured and our (bridal party) room had a leak in the cieling. My 6 year old niece woke up in the middle of the night all wet.
We partied outiside on the deck after the wedding and had a blast. My parent's spoke to the owner and they ended up compensating us with a free night for grandma's room and breakfast for all the family guests at the hotel for free the morning of the wedding.
My day was everything I dreamed it would be. I would highly recommend all of my vendors. We took a few days off between the wedding and the honeymoon. I am so happy we did that. We are off the Florida on Thursday and then going on Royal Caribbean, Navigator of the Seas on Saturday. I am so looking forward to a week of fun and relaxation.
I will post some pictures when I get them!

Congrats! I'm glad you had a great day! I'm getting married on 9/20 at PJCC. Why didn't you have a bridal attendant? Is that normal? Who was your mairte d? Steve? Is there anything I should call and discuss with them before hand? thanks!!

Congratulations!I am also getting married at the PJCC. I understood that I would have a bridal attendant. Can I ask why you didn't have one?
