*** My Sweet/Fun/Romantic/Amazing/Great/Perfect Wedding *** Our Dreams came true 09/25/2011 <3 V&L

Wow… I still can’t believe that my day seem so far again and yet came so fast.
When we plan our wedding, we see our wedding day, the day we will walk down the aisle, so far again… like millions of years ahead of us! But, once I hit my DD, the time just flew!!! By the time I got to Single digits, it was like a Blink of an eye, and boom! My wedding day was there!
Our wedding day was THE BEST DAY EVER!!! There hasn’t been any day compare to this!!!

For the future Brides: ENJOY IT TO THE FULLEST! It goes by so fast… how I miss planning my wedding now and most of all I miss the whole day 9/25… so if I could Re-do any day of my life, without a doubt it will be 9/25/2011!!!! <3

We enjoy every single second of it… We love our Catholic Ceremony, especially since it meant a lot to us. We love our party after the Ceremony! Wow!!! So much fun to dance! I have never had so much fun in my whole life dancing a lot with a heavy dress lol!!! I didn’t even feel I had a heavy dress or my heels the whole time…

This was the best day Luis and I have shared!
EVERYTHING WAS WORTH IT!

So now onto the review!!!


GOD: He is MORE than A+!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
First and Foremost I need/want to thank God for helping us through the whole process. There were moments where you just want to stop because it is so stressing but God has always been in our side. There were moments where we thought we were not going to be able to pay for our wedding and God sent us a signal or gave us what we need in one way or the other.
This meant the world to us to get married in a Catholic Church in front of God.
After that the forecast said we were going to have horrible thunderstorms in our wedding day, God provided us with a beautiful day! Not a single drop of rain the whole day!

LIW is such a great website! I think without LIW I would have been lost! I didn’t know where to start! Thanks to this website & all of the brides, I knew what to do!!!

The Proposal – Nautical Mile, Freeport 1/25/2010 7:15pm A++++++++++++++++++++++

Well we have a crazy proposal... I had the worse headache/migraine that Monday 1/25/2010…
Luis got out of work early to get the ring and I thought he was working.
Well I was driving to pick him up since I decided to leave work early because of my headache and Luis says “I am not there I am at the station by the mall” I was like O M G he lied to me lol… anyways, he sounded like he was rushing and I continue doubting him more and more. But I guess my headache/migraine made me not pay attention to everything…
We went to his house & I felt asleep… When I woke up he said we needed to get ready since he had a job interview that will help us towards our future. I got so excited for him and got ready.
We drove to Nautical Mile, Freeport, and to my surprise NO ONE was at the restaurant and I freaked out for him. But he said we were early and wanted to take a walk around the pier.
As we walking he suggested I should count the starts, I looked at him and said “Wth??! The starts?!! I will never finish there are tons of them!!!” he said to still try to count them since I love stars…
I was looking up as I am counting “1,2,3…35,36,37… That’s it amor, no more.. 37” I look down and there he was, with a lovely ring!!!!

After I said yes and I cried, I asked “What time is your job interview?” he laughed and said “There is no job interview.. I just needed a good excuse for you to come to Nautical Mile on the winter… otherwise you would have not believe me” and he is right… I would have gotten suspicious right away!






Engagement Ring - Zales Rooselvelt Field A+++++++++++++
Leyla helped us with the rings! She is such a sweetheart! I gave Luis some options since I did not want the ring with one diamond. I don’t like how one diamond sticks out and then its just clear around.
So I wanted something with 3 diamonds.
My husband choose the right one!


Engagement Party - Eisenhower Park A+++++++++++++++++
We had so much fun at our Engagement party. We didn’t have that much money + we did not want to have it at a restaurant where everyone had to stay seated the whole time. So we thought of a Picnic... And oh boy was it fun!!!
We paid NOTHING since it’s ‘first come first basis” so we got there early, around 6:00AM to get the spot that I wanted lol. We decorate & got catered food.
Everyone had a blast and people loved it! We played many games I had set up.
I wouldn’t change a thing about it!



Engagement Party Food - Mike Thomas Catering A+++++++++++++++++++
WOW! Chicas if you having a party/picnic and don’t want to cook, I would SO recommend hiring them as your Catering company. They were amazing! Mike worked us the whole time. We even got a tasting of the food and it was delicious. His prices are amazing! We got the picnic packaged for less than $8pp(keep in mind this is 8/2010)!!!!!!! Everyone loved the food!
We also got his Chef Juan, great Chef by the way!
Definitely look him up if you need any Catering food, I will definitely tell you that you wont be disappoint it.

We took our Engagement Pictures on June 21st. It was an amazing day thank God but even though my pictures came out good, I regret them. I know it could have been a lot better. Since we were trying to save some $ we decided to book someone from Craigslist, you know a student who was building up his portfolio.
I don’t think they look professional. But I get what I pay right?
You know how a photographer tells you how to pose and where to pose? Well we had to become so creative since he didn’t tell us what to do.

Bridal Shower - Stephanie’s house (Roslyn) & Mom/Dad A++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Wow… what a blast my Bridal Shower was! I was so scared since I thought I was going to have a boring shower and oh boy was I wrong! Stephanie (my mom’s boss) decided to give me the shower in her BIG house!!!!! My mom helped her with many details. My dad and mom paid for a Mariachi Band!!! Wow everyone dance and had So much fun at my Shower. I couldn’t believe it!
Everyone who came to my shower can tell you we danced and enjoy so much!
Oh and this was a different shower… No games played… but we danced our booties off!!! My fiancé, dad, Stephanie’s husband where there the whole time.
I am glad they were… I like the fact they experienced this with me!
Food/Cake/Drinks? I don’t know where but they were delicious!!!
Good times and as I said before, I wouldn’t change a thing.

Once again Leyla helped us with our wedding bands! We got the exactly what we wanted and did not had to personalized it. My E-ring has a curve to it, so I thought it was going to be hard to find the matching one; and surprise! They had one that matches exactly my ring!!!

I am not a fan of my invitations… They did not come ensemble.. I mean NOTHING!!! They insisted they told me however they didn’t advise us this. I even told them I wanted something that came ready to go since we had no time left. We paid too much $ on them.

I was not excited about this sweater. I purchased this at the last second. I did not like it! I still don’t and I can’t return it since I threw away the receipt.

Amazing! So sweet to deal with! They both worked together with me to find the right veil that will look good with my dress and we got it! If you the edges of my dress (on the right side) it matches perfectly my veils!
Very affordable too! I was quoted $800 for the veils I wanted in other stores! I got charged WAY less than that! 55-60% Less than that!!!
My Tiara was amazing and very cheap! They do give me tons of discounts!!!
Our Arras are so cute! We decided to get them since they come in a little heart box to save them!
Our Lasso meant so much to us! We did not wanted to get just any lasso. Therefore when we saw the Rosary, we knew that was the one!!!






Day of Jewelry/Wedding Gift from my DH: Swarovski Atlantic City A++++++++++
I was so scared I was not going to find anything I like. My DH had told me this was my wedding present but he wanted me to choose exactly what I wanted.
We had searched and searched and couldn’t find anything I like.
Until we went to the Swarovski store in AC. Voila! We found exactly what I wanted!!!!
I love my DOJ!!! I couldn’t stand the idea of having something so close to my neck (choker) … So I decided to go with a looser necklace.
I was so happy when I saw my necklace had the earrings set too!!!
I was wearing TWO bracelets LOL! I forgot to take one out so I was wearing two of them the whole time, but I don’t complain because I loved it!






Shoes: DSW & Store in Hempstead (I don’t know the name) A++++++++++++++++
My lovely mother brought me both of the shoes and I love it!!!!
My Silver shoes were from DSW!!!! They were so comfortable and I was so surprise since I am not able to wear really high heels!
My blue shoes were from the store in Hempstead, wow I changed into those shoes for the reception and oh boy! They were so comfortable and it felt like I was in the air with the clouds!! My feet were so comfortable the whole night!
At 10:45 I decided to take them off since I was dancing the WHOLE time!!!! I barely sat down!







My Lovely Maggie Sottero Ambrosia – Princess Bridal: A

We have history with them! It started off so badly, they had a horrible lady working with them who treated me bad. I left the store fuming close to crying and my BM called them to complain.
The owner called me back and offered me to come back… he was going to make things better.I came back and was I glad I came back!
I got a discount on my dress! I got a BIG discount on alterations too!!!!
I don’t wish anything bad to anyone but I was even shock to find out the lady who treated me bad, was fired!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So I am glad I came back and Shuck fixed everything for me!
Woudl i recommend them? Yes... Even thought i had ONE argument.. after that argument, they were VERY nice with me
Thank God I save tons of $$$$ with my dress & alterations too!!!!

I absolutely love their dress! I did not care which dress they all decided on as long as it was blue. They have amazing taste because they got the right one and they all agree on one dress!!! Their customer service was amazing! No problems with them whatsoever! They called us as soon as they received the dresses! They received two weeks after we place the order!!!

My mom looked absolutely stunning!!!! I love her dress! She got an amazing dress! Totally You gave us a great customer service! we never had ANY complains at all!!!

MOG Dress: Bridal’s By Sandra (PA)??????
Her dress looked gorgeous! There were many problems with the dress… but I am not 100% if it was her fault or the store… so I can’t grade them!






DH’s Tuxedo: Macy’s Roosevelt Field & Menswear Menswear Carle Place: Vest, Tie, & Socks. A++++++++++++

Macy’s sales person where so nice at helping us find the right tuxedo Luis wanted to buy for our wedding. He has told me he was not going to rent a tuxedo for his wedding day. He wanted to have one and keep it. I asked him why, he responded “You buying your dress too right honey? You will keep it forever right? This is why I want to keep my clothes too. It is an important event baby and I want to keep it and look at it when I am old and say I’m married my best friend in this tux” and that MELT my heart!
We got an amazing discount on the Tux! There was a special sale on tuxes that day plus I had an extra 20% off! So his Calvin Klein Tux came out to be less than $300!!!!




Groomsman Tuxedo & DH Shoes: Menswear! A++++++
DH couldn’t find the shoes he wanted at all! He searched and searched and had to settle to rent the shoes in Menswear! But they still gave him a great Customer Service!!!!
Groomsman tux looked good too! No problems whatsoever thank God! Everyone was happy with their tuxes!

GM: We had trouble finding his tux because of his age but Barron had it!

I was looking for a Soccer garter with something blue in it. I could never found what I wanted so I ended up purchasing the normal soccer garter. I showed it to my florist and she made an amazing job! She decorated and made it ‘me’. I had my blue soccer garter!!!




Bubbles: Florist B & L Decoration A+++
I totally had forgotten to purchase this. She came to my rescue & even decorated them with a blue ribbon! I loved them!


Rehearsal Dinner: Old Country Buffet: A+++++++++++
I was a little scared since some people don’t like buffets, but boy was I wrong with my crew! Everyone had a blast and ate ANYTHING they wanted to eat! Not only once or twice, but some people went to get food like 4x!!!!!! So I am more than happy everyone enjoy it and had fun!!!!



St. Martha’s Catholic Church – Ceremony
I am not grading my Church… I always wanted to get married in this Church since ever since I came to USA I became a member of this Church… but couple of things went wrong. I am not going to get into detail but I am just happy we got married in front God.






Ariana Waterfalls – Reception: A-B
Since the minute we started to look for a RH we know we couldn’t get something that was SOO expensive. We knew the $ we had and what we could spend. We decided not to spend so much money on ONE day since we want to buy a house for the future… We understood the wedding day it is only ONCE in a lifetime but we did not wanted to ended up without money for the future.
It was hard at the beginning since nothing seem to worked. Until we decided we should look into “All Inclusive Packages”.
I am so glad we got an All inclusive package RH because I didn’t had to go crazy ALL over with different vendors. I had everything right there! My package included like almost everything (Except the Bouquets)!
Tony (the Manager) was good to us. We were able to negotiate some things we wanted.
The day of the wedding, everything was amazing! I know one downfall of Ariana is the location but I never cared the day of! Everything inside was wonderful!
I loved every second of my reception!
The Bad:
I hated the fact I looked at my photo booth pictures & I have 3 bussers in our photo booth taking pictures. They shouldn’t be there! They should be working!
I dealt once with a manager that was fired. I did not know he got fired until 1 week before the wedding. Anyways, I believe Ariana should have informed me he was fired because he gave out the ‘wrong information’ to some Brides. The only thing he said my tables were going to be 10ppl per table. When I got there, Tony told me it was 10 tables of 10 & 6 table of 8people!

(KEEP IN MIND WE GOT AN ALL INCLUSIVE PACKAGE… PHOTOGRAPHY, LIMO, CAKE, DJ/MC, VIDEO, CENTERPIECES. THEREFORE ALL VENDORS HAVE BEEN “CHOOSEN” ALREADY SO FOR EVERYTHING I GOT IN MY PACKAGE, I WAS SO HAPPY & IT SAVED TONS OF $$$$$$$$$$$$$)








Seating Chart- Ariana Waterfalls:
I did not like them! If I would have known I was going to write my seating chart, I would have just place an order online. The day of, I think they did a good job decorating everything for the Seating Chart.





Table Numbers: A Modern Day Affair: A++++++++++++++
I booked with AMDA when they had the special of the table #’s for free! I am so glad they did an amazing job with my table #’s. I think they look amazing!
Even when I had problem of the one table number missing (Since Ariana had told me it was 11 tables) Laura & Michelle quickly got another!




Hair- Tribeca Salon Great Neck: Nino & John. A
Nino & John did an amazing job with everyone! My bridesmaids look hot & sexy with their hairstyle! I never choose one hairstyle since everyone has a different hair. All I said was that I wanted them to look beautiful and they could choose it as long as it wasn’t MANY curls like my hairstyle. Everyone got what they wanted and they all look beautiful!!!
My Mom & MIL look amazing too!!! I love it!!!
I love my hair! It was amazing! Even thought it took 3 hair trials to get it right! I still had my hair the next day in FL lol!!! Which is what I wanted to have my hair ready to go since our plane left at 8:00am!!! I party like there is no tomorrow and my curls were there!




Make Up- Kelly from Glam Me up: A
I love everyone’s make up! Everyone was looking fantastic!
I was not 100% happy with the eye shadow but I think it still look beautiful and went amazing with the color theme.



Limosine Hummer – Regal Bridal Rockville Center A+++++++++++++++++++++++

Once again, Regal Bridal was in charge too of my limosine and I was NOT disappointed at all!!!! I cant write the name of the Limo driver, Arbing maybe.. But he was amazing!!!!!
He got to both locations (Luis & mine) on time for everything! The limo (Hummer) was the bomb! We had so much space & it was so comfortable for everyone! Even though it was only 12 of us we had the 18 psge Hummer and I am so glad we did we were ALL comfortable and no one had to be all tight.
At the end of the night, the Limo driver instead of taking us to the Hotel in the Private car took us in the Hummer! Wow that was so much funs Me and Luis in the limo on the way to the hotel!!!! =)
Once again I would so recommend Regal Bridal Limousines!






DJ/MC – Satisfaction Guaranteed Entertainment – Sergio (MC) A+++++++++++
What can I say about my DJ & MC? They are sooooo GOOOD!!! Wow… everyone was dancing… they played all type of music just like we asked… they played my special request and everyone loved it!!!
Sergio was really good at speaking Spanish & English!!! My Dj always kept people on the dance floor!!!!
They really did an amazing job the whole night from beginning to end!!!


Up lighting – Satisfaction Guaranteed Entertainment: A+++++++++++
My Husband was not 100% sure of this since it was not in our budget at the beginning… thank God we were able to get the $ necessary to add it and we were both glad we did! Ariana looked so much better with the up lighting!!! I love how we got a Blue light in our table!











Centerpieces – Dennis Regis Floral + My Florist/Decorator B & L: A
I have NEVER met with them… All I asked was for WHITE flowers and they deliver my white flowers. Since I was going to have my other florist add the extra touches I wanted to have. My centerpieces came included in Ariana’s package, so all white flowers in centerpieces came with it. The rest is for my florist.



Videographer – Spotlite Video – A
I haven’t gotten my video yet but I believe Piere did an amazing job!!!
I had a little argument with one of the employees since I was being charged to much for additional hours I wanted, but after calling Ariana I ended up getting what I wanted.
So I am more than sure, I got an amazing video.



Florist & Decorator for many things – B & L Wedding Decorator: A++++++++++++++++++++++
Betty is such an amazing woman to deal with! She helped me with anything I needed help with and always make sure to find the best thing but yet save tons of money!
She did everyone’s Bouquet, Boutonnières & Corsage.
I am so glad she was able to get exactly what I wanted even though I don’t know anything about flowers she took the time to show me and take me around to see many of them! I knew since the beginning I wanted 25 Royal Blue Roses… and she gave me the Royal blue that I wanted. I did not want a spray rose since I was scared to damage my dress so they are NOT spray!
My husband’s boutonnière was amazing! It was so different than every other boutonniere! His had a two combine! It was so amazing!
She decorated my church! Wow she went to my church two times to get to know the Church surroundings this way every decoration looked great and it did!
On the wedding day, everything was amazing! Everything had exactly what she had told me! I got all blue ribbons/bows.
She also decorated my Cake, added some decorations/roses to the Centerpieces & the decoration you see around our table at Ariana. She decorated the Candy buffet.
Betty was such a sweetheart and I would definitely recommend her!






Plaque – Channa Plaque: A++++++++++++++++++++
Love our Channa Plaque!! It looked amazing and it got exactly what I wanted! Channa was so easy to deal with! She took the time to change anything I wanted to change til we choose the one.





Cake & Decorators B & L Wedding: A+++++++++
Love my cake! My cake came included with Ariana package too and it was delicious! I loved it! I was even eating cake at the hotel!!!
I had a simple white cake, strawberry filling with blue decorations.
Betty (From B & L) took care of adding the special touches that made it to bling bling.





I was looking for a cake 5 days before our wedding and Adelz came to my rescue with an amazing recommendation! Jillian made an amazing cake for Luis JUST the way I wanted!!! My Husband loved the cake and was so surprise with what I got him! He loved it! It tasted soo good! =) she is amazing! She was able to capture his favorite soccer team logo as well as mine since they are Rivals!




DOC – A Modern Day Affair: Laura & Michelle: A++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
… Without Laura & Michelle, I would have been a total chaos the whole day!
They were there to help me the whole day with anything I wanted/needed! even when I needed to use the bathroom, they would come and help me! (OMG It was so embarrassed to use the bathroom with SOMEONE next to u lol)
I am glad they did my bustle; otherwise NO one would have help me! Also they help me with the Corset of my dress!!!
For the Rehearsal Dinner: Laura was there and help us get everything together quick and fast! When I was crying for a little issue I had at Church, Laura was trying to calm me down.
For the receiving line they help us to get everything moving so we could have more time in taking pictures!
If I seem freaked out by something, they would do ANYTHING to make me smile again. When I was crying for my Daughter/Mother dance, they took those tears away and made me smile again!
I am so glad we got them as our DOC and would definitely recommend them!








Card Box: ME!!! A++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
I am giving myself TONS of A! lol I love that I decided to make my own Card Box! I spend less than $30!!!!!!!!!!!!! I decorated any way I wanted and it look amazing on the Reception!







Photobooth - The Best Photobooth : A+++++++++++++++
I am so glad we DID get it! We were debating since we did not want to spend anything more than $900. We were getting disappointed when TheBestPhotobooths offer us a deal and we got an AMAZING deal for 4 hours with everything included!!!!
They arrive on time and no problems at all with them!
I love all of our Pictures! People had fun at it and for my guest it was a new thing! So people were surprise we even got it! We love it and can’t get enough of looking at the pictures! If you are debating if you should get one or not, my answer will be “GET IT” trust me you and your guest will have so much fun!!!!

I was not sure if I wanted to do this since I was scared people may not want candy but I was wrong! Everyone loved the candy and candy was gone!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow.. Regal Bridal has been more than amazing to us!!! I am glad they are the ones working with Ariana! They are so easy to deal with and amazing people!!!
We had Tony & Tony (two photographers name Tony lol) THEY ARE BOTH SWEETHEARS N PROFFESIONALS! They took amazing pictures and capture everything I wanted!!!! They got to my & luis location even before the time we had set. We didn’t even realize they were there taking pictures and I was concern thinking He wasn’t taking pictures so I told my DOC, and she smiles and says “look to ur right hand side” and there he was the whole time taking pictures!!!! Lol…
Both of them are great photographers!!!
I am so GLAD I didn’t had to look for any other photo company since they did an amazing job!!!
We decided to upgrade too to the HR CD with all of our pictures! So now we have 2 CD’s with proofs & 2 HR CD’s with ALL EDITED IMAGES!!!!!!
Since I was an Ariana Bride We always got Extra discounts on everything!!!!!!! So the CD with edited images was an AMAZING deal to get 1,200 edited pics in a CD!!!
I would SO recommend Regal Bridal!!!

Our Honeymoon was AMAZING! We loved every single second of it!
We went to Key West, FL 09/26-10/02!!!!!
It was such a fun and amazing vacation!

Yes thank you! It was very fun!!!!!
We both knew we did not wanted to be in a Restauran/RH... We thought being outdoor was cheaper and Funner... and it was!!!!
