Review 10/12/13 VYC burtons ken hild Cheeky Details,

Hey ladies! Our big day was amazing. It certainly feels like a blur, and I am still trying to process it all. but all in all it was a wonderful day! A few key vendors to mention

St Patricks RC Parish A : i don't like grading a church too much. Everyone was friendly, helpful and organized. The church is simply gorgeous. Father Tom is a sweet sweet man who made my non Catholic self feel so welcome in the church. My only complaint is his secretary is a little scatterbrained and on more than one occasion did not call us to tell us appointments had been cancelled or paperwork lost.

Venetian yacht club A+ : They were wonderful from day 1. Even though my original banquet manager Eric left, Felicia picked us up and was accommodating and awesome. Our MaitreD Marie was on point! That woman knows her job and she runs a tight ship! Everything was done exactly as i requested, my guests raved about the view, the space, the service and especially the food! VYC did not disappoint.


Cake: Francesco's bakery A +. The VYC's designated bakery, Sandy is awesome! This guy is excited about cake. He made my cake dreams come true AND it tasted delicious!! Loved it

Ken Hild A+ : Ken is an awesome guy and a wonderful photographer. Awesome sense of humor and strives for perfection in his work. He is profressional, on time and a slave to his craft, even if that means lying on the cement outside the church to get the shot he wants lol. He is great to work with and I cannot to see our proofs!

B*rtons flowers A: I was worried cuz i know burtons is not exactly known for their service. They did give me a little bit of hard time about getting our flowers delivered by 8am, but Cheeky Details took care of it! I am not flower person, but i was BLOWN AWAY by my flowers. The centerpieces executed my vision perfectly, considering i had no idea how to explain. The BM bouquets were exact replicas of the pictures i gave them. It was perfection.

Cheeky Details A+: I hired these ladies when i first got engaged. I am a very type A, organized person but i knew that day i would have to throw my hands up and party. They were definitely a good choice and worth the money. These ladies are pros, there is no problem they cannot solve from a dress issues to handling difficult vendors. 1000% worth the investment to ensure your special day runs smoothly.

Elegancia A+ : I am west indian and my husband is hispanic. Finding a DJ is no easy task. Elegancia fell in my lap and i have to admit when i met the DJ an MC assigned to us 4 days before our wedding i was NERVOUS. But Carlos and Jose delivered like no tomorrow. Carlos played awesome awesome music that kept the dance floor packed for our Day time wedding!! He played a nice mix west indian and spanish that had both sides dancing to everything! Jose was smooth, suave and great with this tone and timing. Absolutely loved them they made our wedding a real party!

All star limo B - All star was ok to deal with, cars were nice and clean, drivers friendly and on time. I did not like that i got asked 3 times on the day of my wedding by different drivers whether my balance was paid in full, when it was indeed paid like 2 weeks before the wedding. Seems to have been some sort of miscommunication that they just could not sort out. We used the 'Free' town car to take us to the airport the following morning, and did not like that when we arrived at the airport the driver told us there was a mandatory 40 dollar tip. Gratuity was included in our contract, not sure what that was about but was not going to argue at 5am. All in all acceptable.

Bridal Suite Bay Shore - Dress A, alternations B. My whole experience with Bay shore Bridal Suite was pleasant. Everyone was friendly, helpful, dress was on time. My only issue is the alterations lady told me i did not need my long time corset bra and I could just wear the dress as is, it would hold up. I have pretty big boobs and although the fittings were good, after sitting down once I learned that was not the case. The top was sagging horribly, and Cheeky details did their best to tape it up while my friend went to my house to get the long line bra I had purchased before alterations. Luckily I had that bra otherwise i would have had to sit like a statue at my reception in fear of flashing my guests. Moral of the story , SIT IN YOUR DRESS. I have read other brides had this issue too, if u know your boobs and what you wear under your clothes, stick with your gut.

BM dresses Davids bridal A++ no muss no fuss, the girls went to various stores, all dresses came in correct and on time and they did their alterations on their own.

Suits : Joseph A Banks B - We had some issues at first, the Westbury store and the Babylon store were not communicating and using different sale systems and it started out a real mess. Definitely had to follow up with this vendor a couple times before the wedding to make sure all the suits would end up in the same store. In the end it all worked out, but definitely had to micro manage.


Hair (Mya) A + Mya is totally awesome She is going to my official hair lady. She gives great pep talks and really knows hair. she showed up at 430am (we had a 10am ceremony) ready to go!!! i loved it. Always on point and organized, she is one of the best vendors i had.

Makeup (Oksana) A - Oksana is a sweet woman who does great great make up, she did show up a little late but only because she got lost finding our hotel. All the girls loved their make up and it stayed on all day!

Marriott Courtyard Farmingdale Airport A+ - Breanna my group sales rep is an absolute doll, one of my absolute favorite vendors to deal with. She always answered my emails within 24 hours, made changes with ease and was in general an absolutely pleasure!! The hotel was clean, the suite was quite spacious. I had ordered a continental breakfast for 10, so we could eat while getting dressed. it was AWESOME. they set up a table with chairs and brought all the food in at 5am on the dot, i was wowed. Definitely recommend them as a wedding hotel.


Sandals Royal Bahamian : Traveling to the Bahamas during hurricane season is like playing russian roulette. BUT if your willing to take the gamble its worth it. Our resort was quite empty, which resulted in excellent service. The room was great, the grounds clean, the food and drink absolutely amazing. This resort might have just made us Sandals people!


All in all it was a spectacular day. I had no major issues and all of my vendors were amazing. I credit that to LIW since i found most of them on here!! I had that SAME EXACT issue with my dress!!!!!! And I did not have a back-up bra.. so there was a lot of standing like a statue! LOL
