You look very happy and not to mention absolutely beautiful. I love your dress and the BM dresses, the color of them with the flowers are so gorgeous. You gave me alot of ideas!! The bouquets -- gorgeous as well!! Just the way the colors of the dresses and the flowers complimented eachother wow it looks so great in the pictures, I was oo'ing and ahh'ing while looking at them!! Congratualtions

Thanks bridetobe! One thing I loved about the NRC was that you get to meet with your maitre d, a month or so before your wedding. I haven't encountered that at any other catering hall. I think that is great because that way you know the guy before, opposed to meeitng him for the first time the day of. That is a big plus in my book!

I got a little teary eyed at the end of your summary too. It's all very exciting. Where'd you go on your honeymoon?

I looked into SAS and met with Tom. He's on my case like white on rice to book with SAS, but I'm not so sold yet. Thanks for your honest review about the lack of customer service on his part.

I am thinking of going to Explosion (in HB) to get my hair done, I have been getting my hair cut there by Liz the last several times. I am going to do a trial in jan I think. If I go with them I will probably have several of my girls come, who should I ask for, if you have any suggestions?
Did you get your make up done there? I dont know anyone who has used there makeup person and was wondering about it. I want really minimal make up.
Please let me know.

also I am blocking rooms at the garden city hotel and I am doing goodie bags and definitely think it is a great idea to include a letter telling everyone about the shuttle and to hang around after the wedding. I have think something up still

berlykim22 - Three of us used Anna (me, mom and SIL), my MOH used a woman who's chair is next to Anna's and my cousin used another girl who was across from Anna in the center (she was the only one who did cornrows). I am sorry but I do not remember all of their names. All did a great job. Someone on this board actually recommended Anna to me. My mom usually gets her hair done by Savareo (sp?) but he doesn't do updo's. He is great. I use to get my hair done by him when I was younger and lived in the area. I think we came in at 9:30ish and me and MOH and cousin were home by 10:30ish.

I got a makeup trial done at Explosion. The makeup person I used was JoAnn. She was very nice. My makeup looked nice (esp. my eyes) and it was very natural (I actually asked her to go more dramatic on my eyes) but to be honest it didn't last all day. The day of my trial was my shower (I had no clue) and in the middle of the evening I applied more blush because I looked pale and when I got home the mascara was all under my eyes and the eye makeup didn't look as nice. The trial was $40. I think day of is $80. If you want it is worth a try, maybe the makeup and my skin didn't go together! : ) I had more success with Laura from Bloomingdales! Good Luck and tell them I was talking about them on this site. They really got a kick out of that when they heard they were mentioned on the internet!
