Small Wedding in New York City

Hello Thanks to those of you that replied earlier. To give you a better idea of the type of ceremony I`m considering, there will be a group of 6 couples visiting New York City in October. My partner and I have been together for 22 years, within our party is another couple who have been together for 21 years (they too are considering getting married), as we are coming to NYC we thought we might use it as an opportunity to get married with our friends with us to share the moment. I`m thinking something, romantic/special, possibly the ceremony late afternoon, followed by a meal, then to a club for some dancing, (bearing in mind we are in the 40 age group now!). Someone mentioned the World Trade Centre, Gemellies? - this sounds interesting - being on top of the world - What is this place like? The budget we are looking at is about £400 ($600)? but most probably with our friends paying for their meals as they are happy to celebrate the occasion with us. I was hoping for something a bit more special than just a city hall ceremony, but nothing to over the top, basically just a nice setting for the ceremony, meal and party afterwards! Again any suggestions, thanks for taking the time to reply.

Small Wedding in New York City

Hello Debs, Some ideas that come to mind off the top of my head.... Central Park has some nice spots. You could take a horse and carriage ride around till you find the right one for you. A hotel suite. Horizon has dinner cruises that circle Manhattan so you would have that famous skyline to look at from the water. Your guests could just be seated at the table, you and your beloved stand a few words, you pledge your love... The same could work in almost any restaurant as long as the staff don't object. I think that's it for now but I'll keep thinking. (Remember the love and joy that your hearts will already make it beautiful and special and wonderful! But I do wish you everything you could want on top of this.)
