What makes a wedding great

I'd like to know what it is for you that makes a wedding GREAT! Is it the venue ? Is the Is it the food? The amount of food? The kinds of food? Is it the decor? The Centrepieces? Is it how expensive the wedding looks? Is it the personal detail that went into it? The time of day? etc. What for you, for any wedding you've been to and have come back saying 'wow that was fabulous' what was it that stood out?

For me its the Venue and food. What about you ?

It's the amount of love in the room.

Grand or on a shoe string it's the one thing that is real and present in everyone's hearts before the first invitation was sent and after the last guest goes home for the night.

There are 4 things that make a wedding great

1) A packed dance floor

2) Every guests says - they played my kind of music- regardless of the age group

3) No one- including the oldest guest ever says 'It was too loud- I could not talk'

4) and most important - TOTAL ELIMINATION OF ALL STRESS FOR THE BRIDE

The above 4 aspects is what I provide for brides.

I think your question a very good one!
I gave you a reply via FM. What both previous posters
have said is great. To me it is always the love from bride to groom, groom to bride that makes a wedding most special. There are a few other things as well, of course, and I apologize for not posting all of what I wrote here however it's too long for the board (my thoughts lol!) After working with so many couples I would say that it truly is the bride and grooms involvement that makes a wedding great. Having them both on the dance floor enjoying themselves really sets the tone. Of course a beautiful venue and food follow suit but as a DOC I overhear more talk about the actual couple than anything else. Also, personal touches are awlays nice. Being able to share your love story is something special.
