OK this is SO not healthy for that child.

Katie Holmes has been banned from speaking to her baby for a week after it is born, it has been reported.

The pregnant actress has agreed not to talk to her new arrival, believed to be a girl, for at least seven days after she has entered the world, in accordance with fiance Tom Cruise's Scientology beliefs.

Katie, who is due to give birth any day, has already promised Tom she will deliver the child in complete silence, and she will also have very little contact afterwards.

A source told Britain's Closer magazine: 'Katie respects Tom's dedication to Scientology. She is devoted to him and wants to bring up the child the Scientology way.'

L. Ron Hubbard - the founder of the strange sci-fi cult - writes in the religion's creed, that all followers must live by, that new born babies must not hear their mother speak for a week so they will not associate their voice with the trauma of birth.

Given the speed of Chad Michael Murray's engagement to Kenzie Dalton – just one year after he wed One Tree Hill costar Sophia Bush – Internet rumors abounded that Dalton might be pregnant. But she's 'definitely not,' Murray tells PEOPLE in its upcoming issue.

Describing how he feels about Dalton, Murray chooses to speak metaphorically. 'Imagine you are walking along,' he says, 'and you trip over something and you turn around and find that it is a huge diamond. You would pick it up and do everything in your power to take care of that diamond because it might take care of you for the rest of your life.'

It is perhaps not surprising that Murray, 24, has diamonds on his mind: He just presented Dalton, 18, a Wilmington, N.C., high school senior, with an elegant oval-cut diamond engagement ring estimated to be worth between $25,000 and $35,000.

Dalton, a Tree extra whom castmates first publicly spotted with Murray last August, was seen wearing the rock last week at the state’s 59th Annual Azalea Festival.

As for the couple, they are simply “crazy for one another,” says Dalton’s mother, Jeannie.

Although wedding plans are yet to be made, Murray says he is determined to have a long-lasting marriage.

All he wants, he says, is “to be 80 years old and to have been married for 50 years and still be soooo in love.'

According to a friend, Pamela, 38, wants to have one more child before she turns 40 and she wants Tommy to be the father.
'Pamela and Tommy create beautiful kids together,' the insider says. 'She would really love to have another child with him and she's hoping for a little girl.'
The pal says that Tommy would prefer to remarry Pamela first, but he will likely agree to father another baby with her, even without the benefit of matrimony. 'He never stopped loving her,' the insider adds.
The two continue to share custody and parenting of Brandon, 9, and Dylan, 8

Don't believe the rumors. Not only are rocker Dave Navarro and his wife of three years, Carmen Electra, still together, but they're getting ready to start a family. 'Carmen and I are doing great,' Dave tells In Touch. 'We hear these rumors that we're breaking up and we just laugh about them.'
Dave, 38, says the busy couple--he's touring and Carmen, 33, is filming a new movie--are planning to start a new chapter in their lives together. 'We'll have our baby in 2007,' he says. 'It's something we definitely want to do.'

LOS ANGELES (AP) — June Pointer, the youngest of the singing Pointer Sisters known for the 1970s and 1980s hits I'm So Excited, Fire, and Slow Hand, has died, her family said Wednesday. She was 52.
Pointer died of cancer Tuesday at Santa Monica University of California, Los Angeles, Medical Center, the family said in a statement. She had been hospitalized since late February and the type of cancer wasn't disclosed.

She died 'in the arms of her sisters, Ruth and Anita and her brothers, Aaron and Fritz, by her side,' the family statement read. 'Although her sister, Bonnie, was unable to be present, she was with her in spirit.'

The Pointer Sisters began as a quartet in the early 1970s with sisters Ruth, Anita, Bonnie and June. The group became a trio when Bonnie embarked on a solo career.

The group's hits also included He's So Shy, Automatic and Jump (For My Love).

The sisters, along with their two older brothers, grew up singing in the choir of an Oakland church where their parents were ministers.

Bonnie and June formed a singing duo and began performing in clubs around the San Francisco Bay area. Anita and Ruth later joined the group and together, they sang backup for Taj Mahal, Boz Scaggs and Elvin Bishop, among others.

Their first, self-titled album, The Pointer Sisters, debuted in 1973 and the song Yes We Can Can became their first hit. They followed up with the album That's A Plenty, which featured an eclectic mix of musical styles ranging from jazz to country and pop. They won the first of their three Grammy awards in 1974 for best country vocal performance by a group for the song Fairytale.

Bonnie left the group in 1977, and the sisters recorded several more albums, scoring several hit songs that became identified as the soundtrack of the 1980s.

The successful 1984 album Break Out earned two Grammy awards for the songs Automatic and Jump (For My Love). The album's other hit song, Neutron Dance, was prominently featured in the movie Beverly Hills Cop.

June recorded two solo albums, and later left the trio.

Anita and Ruth still perform under the group's name. Ruth's daughter, Issa Pointer, is the trio's newest member.

Two years ago, June Pointer was charged with felony cocaine possession and misdemeanor possession of a smoking device. She was ordered to a rehabilitation facility.

Funeral arrangements were incomplete.
