It's been a good week for Saved By The Bell alums. First Mark-Paul Gosselaar gets a gig on Commander in Chief and now Elizabeth Berkley lands a role on the CBS drama Threshold. According to TVGuide.com, Berkley is a real-life friend of series star Carla Gugino and will make a guest spot on her pal's show on Nov. 11. The Showgirls star will play a pregnant alien infectee.

Bicyclist says Foxy Brown involved in incident



A friend of rap diva Foxy Brown is due in court Thursday, charged with leaving the scene of an accident after striking two bicyclists with a sport utility vehicle in which the performer was believed to be riding.One of the bicyclists, Robert Herschenfeld, 38, says Brown, whose real name is Inga Marchand, jumped out of the Land Rover on West Houston Street on Aug. 27, 2004, motioned to the scores of bicyclists slowing down traffic during a Critical Mass ride and yelled an insulting phrase against white homosexuals.

'Then somebody yelled, 'Hey, that's Foxy Brown,'' said Herschenfeld, a building designer from Williamsburg.

Moments later, Brown got back in the car -- registered to her record label, Ill Na Na Entertainment, -- and the driver 'just gunned it,' Herschenfeld remembers, striking him and another bicyclist, Matthew Campau, 36, of Williamsburg, who was not hurt and could not be reached for comment. Herschenfeld suffered a leg injury but was not badly hurt.

It was not clear Thursday whether Brown had been questioned in the incident. Although Brown's friend, Ayesha Ouattara, has been charged, Herschenfeld said he can't be sure if Brown was driving or sitting behind the driver.

Brown's lawyer, Joseph Tacopina, said his client 'rarely drives herself' and denies she uttered any racial or anti-homosexual epithets. 'It's just not true,' he said.

To the suggestion that Brown might have been driving, Tacopina said, 'I have no idea what any of this is about. Nor does Foxy.'

Herschenfeld said that after the incident two fellow bicyclists followed the Rover and told police at a nearby street closing what happened, but that the cops ignored them and waved the car through.

He also said another cop mocked his injury, saying he got what he deserved 'for riding with those anarchists.'

Two months later, Ouattara was charged with two counts of leaving the scene of an accident.

Ouattara is due in Manhattan Supreme Court Thursday. She did not respond to requests for comment

Former Home Improvement star Zachery Bryan is engaged to his longtime girlfriend, Carly Matros, PEOPLE has learned.

'They are thrilled and excited for the pending nuptials,' his rep, Amanda Glazer, tells PEOPLE.

Bryan, 24, and Matros, 23, were close friends who had known each other since fifth grade but only began dating two years ago. They plan to marry next summer.

Bryan starred as Brad Taylor, the eldest of three sons on the Tim Allen sitcom Home Improvement. He landed the role in 1991 less than five weeks after he and his mother set out from their family home in Aurora, Colo., for Hollywood.

'Zach walked in the room and it just lit up,' executive producer Carmen Finestra told PEOPLE at the time. The sitcom was on the air until 1999.

Bryan's next role is the lead in the ESPN film Codebreakers, which premieres Dec. 12. He's also filming Fast & Furious 3: Tokyo Drift.

Kevin Federline recently brought home some music he’d recorded and he played it for Spears, according to the new issue of In Touch Weekly.

His efforts were “greeted with hurtful laughter from his superstar wife, who was unimpressed,” reports the mag. “She said his debut CD might sell ‘a hundred, maybe a thousand’ copies if he was lucky,’” an “insider” told the mag, who added, “Kevin looked really hurt.”

Spears’ unkind review comes at a time when the new parents are said to be going through an extended rough patch. Her “tolerance for his behavior is waning quickly,” reports In Touch. For example, while Spears was busy changing their infant son’s diapers, Federline reportedly spent two hours getting his hair braided. And after a blow-up on Oct. 19, Federline went to a nightclub called Mood, where he partied until well after midnight.

“He seemed kind of out of it,” a witness told the mag. “Everyone was like, Go home to your family. Isn’t it a bit soon to be out partying?”

Kate Moss Checks Out of Rehab

Kate Moss has checked out of the Meadows Clinic in Phoenix, Ariz., where she was receiving treatment for cocaine use, her modeling agency announced Thursday.

The 31-year-old British supermodel left the $4,000-a-night facility earlier this week and was spending time with friends in the U.S., said the statement from her London-based Storm agency.

The firm went on to say that Moss would be reunited with her 3-year-old daughter Lila in the next few days and that Moss would undertake modeling assignments in Los Angeles, Paris and New York within the next month.

'Kate is in excellent spirits and looking forward to getting back to work. She would like to thank everyone for their messages of support as they have played a major part in helping her,' a Storm spokesman was quoted as saying, reports the Associated Press.

According to The Times of London, the month-long Meadows program cut Moss off from friends and family members during her recovery treatment program.

Moss lost lucrative contracts with H&M, Burberry and Chanel last month after photos of her allegedly snorting cocaine in a London music studio were published in Britain's Daily Mirror tabloid. One company that stood by Moss though was Italian tire company Pirelli, which featured Moss in their 2006 calendar. 'What Kate does in her private life is her own concern,' said a company rep.

Moss, who spent a month in rehab in 1998, never admitted to drug use. Nonetheless, shortly after the revealing photos surfaced, she issued a carefully worded apology reading in part: 'I take full responsibility for my actions. I also accept that there are various personal issues I need to address and have started taking the difficult but necessary steps to address them.'

Wilmer Speaks Out on Lindsay & Ashlee

At nearly every Hollywood party Wilmer Valderrama attends, he's surrounded by a bevy of young starlets – but he says people shouldn't get the wrong idea.

'A lot of people are out to make me look like this womanizer,' the actor tells PEOPLE in its upcoming issue. 'The press has created this bachelor persona, but it's not really me. Hey, I take it as a compliment. It must be the first time in history where a sidekick on a show has this kind of persona offscreen.'

So, PEOPLE asks, what is the Gospel According to Wilmer? 'I've been sooo single for the past year,' says the actor, 25, who is filming the eighth season of the FOX hit That '70s Show (premiering Nov. 2). 'Right now, I just love working.'

He recently wrapped two movies, has a lead role on the animated series Handy Manny, and is launching a clothing line in February.

'I won't have a day off until Dec. 31,' he says.

Still, he says, he plans to find time for a Mrs. Valderrama in the not-too-distant future: 'I'm open-minded. I'd love to have kids soon.'

And what about those famous dates?

Mandy Moore: 'I was with her for almost two years. When it ended, it took me another four years to even give it a shot again. That was tough.'

Brooke Shields Expecting Baby No. 2

Brooke Shields is expecting another child, PEOPLE has confirmed.

The actress and her husband, writer Chris Henchy, will welcome their second child in the spring, according to her rep. The couple, who wed in 2001, have a 2-year-old daughter, Rowan.

Just last month, while appearing on The Oprah Winfrey Show Shields revealed that she hoped for another baby. 'I've always wanted more than one child,' she said.

Shields, 40, suffered from postpartum depression after the birth of her first child, and said that at the time she was 'drowning in a pool of suicidal thoughts.' The actress wrote a book on the subject, Down Came the Rain: My Journey Through Postpartum Depression, and has spoken out publicly about her ordeal – and the use of antidepressants to help her get better.

Of course, that support for antidepressants also led to the war of words with Tom Cruise, who criticized her during an appearance on the Today show saying, 'She doesn't understand the history of psychiatry.'

The actress retaliated with a July 1 Op-Ed piece in The New York Times. 'Comments like those made by Tom Cruise are a disservice to mothers everywhere,' Shields wrote. 'The drugs (Paxil), along with weekly therapy sessions, are what saved me.'

The greatest of rivals for so many years, the history between Jay-Z and Nas has been well documented. However, the two could be about to settle their differences.


It's alleged that Jay-Z will bring out Nas to perform at his Power House concert (27 October) and together target rappers who they have beef with.

Rumours are rife in New York that Nas maybe joining the Def Jam army, headed by Jigga.

• Alex H. is moving in with Alex M. (and out of Kristin's place — scandalous!) in Los Angeles. Alex M. recently set her up with a guy in a band and they are now dating.

• Casey's stepdad invented the frozen burrito and she lives in the old Gucci mansion in Laguna, according to Alex M. 'MTV kind of forced me to be friends with her,' she said.

• Alex M. is recording an album. So is Talan.

• Jason, Stephen and Dieter live together in Los Angeles in a 16th floor high-rise. Jason and Stephen are taking acting classes; Dieter is interning at a talent agency. None of them cleans the apartment. 'You walk in there and you don't even see the floor,' Jason said.

• Kristin just scored a small role in an upcoming Al Pacino movie called '88 Minutes.' She doesn't know what the part is, and she didn't have to audition.

• Stephen is currently single and looking. He wants someone who is mature, has a good personality, loves to have fun and 'can keep up.' And by the way, he never hooked up with Paris Hilton.

Star Jones stays away during new husband Al Reynolds' arrest

'The View' hostess Star Jones was notably absent while her hubby, Al Reynolds, was held by New York police for 12 hours for driving with a suspended license.

Reynolds, a Wall Street trader, initially was stopped early Wednesday morning for not using his turn signal when changing lanes, police told the New York Post.

Reynolds, 36, was taken to the 19th Precinct and charged with unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.

Police sources told the Post Reynolds called Jones -- a lawyer and former prosecutor -- shortly after arriving at the station, but she never showed during his more than 12 hours of detention.

The couple's publicist went to the precinct, however, and told reporters Reynolds' arrest was 'due to incorrect DMV paperwork.'

The Post speculated the absence of Reynolds' high-profile wife could be a sign the honeymoon is over for the couple, who married last November.
